1.The story that I'm about to tell is on how I experienced Anxiety Uncertainty Management Theory as from what I understood it is on how it focuses on the stranger and the in-group. It is when a stranger experience both uncertainties and anxiety when in a group of people that they don't know or in an unfamiliar culture and it also makes the stranger hyper aware of the differences between them and their new acquaintances. The bigger the difference between the strange and the in-group the more the anxieties and uncertainties

2. When I visited another country 4 years ago, I was culture shocked with the way people ate things over there especially with how they ate insects as street food without any worry as in our country we never eat any kind of insects. However, we were more welcomed by the natives in that country when we decided to try out the food in their place and as such it lessened our anxiety as it became more certain that we could somehow connect to the locals

3. In the theory that I mentioned earlier, it could be seen in my story that at first, I was experiencing a lot of anxiety and uncertainty as I was not familiar with any of the culture in their own country whether it be through food or on the way they approached things and it resulted in me becoming hyper aware of our difference. However, it could be seen that both of the parties' anxieties lessened when I, the stranger had decided to learn more about their culture and it gave us more understanding of each other and in a way it interconnected us through food which resulted in the locals becoming more interactive and friendly towards us.
