How to Create Your FSA ID

1. Visit the FSA ID Website: Go to the official FSA ID website at https://studentaid.gov/ .

2. Select “Create an FSA ID”: Click on the button to start the creation process.

3. Provide Your Information: Fill in the required personal information, including your name, date of birth, and Social Security number. Make sure the details match those on your Social Security card.

4. Create a Username and Password: Choose a username and a password that meets the security requirements. Make sure to remember these, as you’ll need them to log in later.

5. Set Up Security Questions: Choose and answer security questions to help you recover your account if you forget your login details.

6. Verify Your Email and Phone Number: You’ll receive a verification link via email and a code via text (if you provided a mobile number). Follow the instructions to verify both.

7. Review and Submit: Check all the information you provided, then submit your application.
