         <title>Undersupply of Affordable Houses</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Undersupply of affordable houses in Malaysia seen to worsen due to demographic factors and current income trends. According to Bank Negara Financial Stability and Finance System Report 2016, the house prices in Malaysia has increased. Due to increase of population in Malaysia and current income trends, owning median price houses are beyond reach of most Malaysians. <br><br>Most of the property launched were Rm250,000 and above which worsened the housing affordability issue. The housing market has not provided adequate affordable houses to the lower and middle income households. The oversupply of the high price properties which the households can't afford will remain unsold. <br><br>Therefore, how to overcome this issue? Well, the intervention of government and the private sectors is needed. In order the housing market to be able to accommodate households of all income, the intervention of carefully-designed the strategy and policy is required. </div>]]></description>
