         <title>What is thyroid cancer?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Your thyroid gland is located under your larynx. Your thyroid gland produces different types of hormones to your body. It produces hormones, the temperature, and your metabolism.<br>There are four main types of thyroid cancer, papillary , follicular, medullary, and anaplastic. <br>The papillary is the first most common form of thyroid cancer, it is also the most common form of exposure to  radiation. <br>The Follicular is the second most common thyroid cancer. It is consider more aggressive then papillary. It can spread through the lungs, bones, brain, liver, bladder, and skin. <br>The Medullary may cause a lump to form in the neck. The medullary specializes in the thyroid cells, known as the C cells, these cells sends out a hormone that is called the calcitonin. Calcitonins hormones controls the calcium levels in the blood. It occurs at the age 40 and above.<br>The Anaplastic is an aggressive thyroid glend, it is one of the fastest growing tumors in the human body. Anaplastic spreads to your organs faster then the other thyroid cancers. It often occurs at the age 60 and above.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Medical history and physical exam <br>If you show any symptoms of thyroid cancer they will want to know your medical history and probably do a physical exam on you.<br><br>2. Biopsy <br>Thyroid cancer is made with biopsy, they remove the cells in the suspicious area and look under a microscope.<br><br>3. Imaging tests <br>This test may be done for a lot of reasons, it helps find the suspicious areas that might be cancer, to learn how far the cancer had spread, it also helps to know if the treatments are working. <br><br>4. Radioiodine scan <br>This may be used to help determine if there is a lump in the neck. This is also used when someone has been diagnosed with papillary, follicular, hürthle cell, it helps to know if the cancer has spread. <br><br></div>]]></description>

Surgery <br>This is the most common way to get rid of thyroid cancer but it’s unsure if the doctors have removed it all.<br><br>3. Chemotherapy <br>Uses drugs to stop the cancer cells from growth, by killing the cells or slows down the cells dividing process or kills the cancer cells. You can take the drugs by mouth or injected into the veins or muscle,  it enters the bloodstream and travels through out the body to the cancer cells. <br>This is depending on what stage of cancer.<br><br></div>]]></description>
