         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nathan hale was a Yale graduate that is dubbed as America's first spy. On September 16, 1776, Hale volunteered for a mission in the town of Huntington. After a few days he had become suspicious and he blew his cover when talking with a British officer.  He was arrested the next day and brutally hung on September 22, 1776.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>James armistead was a slave that recieved his masters position to serve in the continental army. In the summer of 1781 James infultrated Charles Cornwallis’s camp posing as a runaway slave loyal to Britian. Cornwallis assigned him to be a British spy and during the time he gathered information for Washington and fed false information to the Britsh. After the war he went back to his master stil as a slave for a few years before gining his freedom. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Benjanmin Tallmadge was the mastermind behind the Culper Spy Ring. He used a childhood friend and other  acquaintances as spies. Even working in enemy territory he and his gang provided Washington with information on British troop movements for 5 years without loosing an agent.  </div>]]></description>

He was invited to a loyalist meeting and later reported the information gained to John Jay.  He was hired and 4 times he made his wayinto British loyalist groups and helped capture them.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lydia Darragh fed information to Washington to form British held Philidelphia. She eavesdropped on British officers that frequently met in her parlor.  She would write what she heared on tiny notes that were stuffed into cloth buttons and swewn on to her sons coat. These letters were then deli9vered to Washington. </div>]]></description>
