Considered one of the most influential  British artists of the 20th century. Hockney used many poems and writings as inspiration for his art work. Accidentally stumbling upon photography he stopped painting  for a while to pursue photography.  Then eventually doing both. 
While the camera had its right settings on aperture priority, location and focus was the number one priority for my photos. After finding the right thing and place, I took separate photos of my subject in little incriminates and parts.  Taking pictures of every little piece of what's in front of me, left to right, up and down, and vice versa. Opening the photos in photoshop, make sure a blank 11x14 template is set before piecing the photos together. Moving each image to the white template, scale each photo to the proper scale for piecing, the collage doesn't have to be extremely perfect, as long as the concept is expressed.  With the panorama, scale the photos (edit-transform-scale) then (layer-merge visible) crop the picture's height leaving it's width long. Make sure there are no unnecessary parts visible while cropping.
