You can put it on there smaller and it might make your resume  and cover letter have a bit more flare or individualism and fit your "brand" better. 

The information type in your portfolio is a bit inconsistent. Two times it appears the same on the upper left but the first one (afix twins) type does not fall in the same place as the QUest Love and La Garita. Be consistent with your typography. I understand why you can't put the type on the left for killer elites but you should have another example of type on the right for consistency. Or find a system that allows you to put type in the same place every time. (Like a white bar at bottom of page, etc.) Your resume, portfolio and cover letters allows the reviewer to see how you organize information. You want to send a clear signal that you know how to do this. The text is like "a caption" for a photo. The design of this should not interfere with your work.
