Over the next 8 weeks or so we have to write an 2000 word essay on a question of our choice. I've never enjoyed writing, so having a whole module dedicated to it is quite daunting. On the bright side though, I may not enjoy writing but i don't think I'm bad at it. I think the dislike comes from leaving the writing portion till last and then having to spend a large chunk of time on only writing. I want to become more time efficient with this course so hopefully this won't be a problem. Another positive is that we get to write about a topic of our own choosing, so I need to make sure I pick something that im heavily interested in. This will also make the task much easier. After a brief insight to Graduate+, Emma delivered a very exciting presentation for the launch of this module. I love the concept of this task. Forming my own festival has been something i've always wanted to do and I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into the challenge. I've already started to form some ideas. I really want to do well on this course so i'm focusing on my time management, which is what i feel like let me down last time. Reykjavik - samtök - icelandic for movement, which refers to the moving image of a film and the movement between each location within the festival.beautiful natural locations (Seljalandsfoss etc.)
Paris - film sonore “film sound” in French
rich film history, beautiful city, distinct style for influence
Budapest - mozgás -beautiful city, hot climate, already been there with my own compositions (footage+image)

Film festival hosted along the Inca trail from Cuzco to Machu Piccu over 5 days.
Each day shows 2 big films with 2 big artists.
Walk to each location during the day, films start later in the evening.

He was one of the last members of the Cuzco School, an art center in which Spanish painters taught native students to paint religious works. Zapata introduced elements from his own lands into his paintings. For instance, his 1753 rendering of the Last Supper shows Jesus and his disciples gathering around a table laid with guinea pig and glasses of chicha.
Between 1748 and 1764, Zapata painted at least 200 works. 24 of them portrayed the life of Saint Francis of Assisi for the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin of Santiago, Chile. He painted 50 linen cloths with the Laurentina Litany for the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, Cusco. Red and blue were prominent colors in his palette.
His influential style developed between 1748 and 1773. He is known for his beautiful portraits of the Virgin Mary, almost always surrounded by cherubim. Zapata incorporated allegorical subjects in his Madonnas. Christoph Thomas Scheffler wrote in 1732, that the painter was inspired by prints of the subject. His compositions are didactic, with a relatively simple reading of complex theological concepts."

Quite a simple structure of the lettering but with different designs formed on each letter. It's a beautiful building which stands in the centre of the city.
