How does your Saint embody the definition of a Saint that we learned in class?

Saint Therese of Lisieux embodied the definition of a Saint because God created her to take on the special job of being the doctor of the church. She was a 15-year-old Carmelite nun who served the church while having depression, scruples, and religious doubt. St. Therese lived out the heroic value of being a Saint because never once did she let her own problems stop her from having a perfect-pleasant smile and an unselfish manner.

What is one Core Belief that is demonstrated by the life of your Saint?

One Core Belief that is demonstrated by St. Therese of Lisieux is "God is good". St. Therese demonstrates "God is good" because while she was struggling in her mid-teens, God was there to comfort her. God gave her wisdom that let her persevere through her short but very astonishing life.

Before she died, she realized that her difficult mentality never let her live a day without struggle. Even though she lived her life with large struggles, God never gave up on her and gave her unconditional love. In result to that, St. Therese pursued her life with holiness as an ordinary person. From the constant support that God gave her, she made Histoire d’une âme (“Story of a Soul”). This story tells us about her spiritual development and identity.
