As the image below shows, the Skinny Tea Max product claimed 'Max' fat burning, hunger control and results. The Ms Fit slimming coffee and skinny coffee max were also recalled over the same discrepancy. The labelling is misleading to the consumer and is purposely marketed to make the consumer think that by drinking these beverages they will have spontaneous fat metabolism. They advertise their products on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and once featured in a BBC article over controversies. Their Vitamin D Booster injection shot contains 30,000 IU of vitamin D. This is 750 µg which is 7.5 X higher than the EFSA recommended tolerable upper limit of 100 µg/d Vitamin D for adults. Since Vitamin D is fat-soluble this could be potentially dangerous and cause adverse effects. That's not even mentioning that its IV and the body cannot downregulate absorption as it could if consumed orally. The prices of supposed 'treatments' start at £30 and go all the way up to £850.
