It starts by an accidental meeting between a homeless like billionaire, and a couple of a painter and an entrepreneur in a seminar. The billionaire invites both of them to a long vacation oversees in a the charming island in Mauritius, to  train both of them about the secret recipe of success.

During the vacation, he started to transform the couples daily routine by asking them to wake up as early as 5 am, exercise, learn something new and apply a certain mindset.

Atrocious murders are committed in France by two criminals nicknamed by investigators who cannot identify them, «the Beast», because of the huge bites he leaves on the bodies of his victims, and «the Ghost» because he leaves no trace. The only thing in common is a knife-engraved sign on the bodies of the victims, a «*e» on the meaning of which the investigators questioned in vain.

Shortly after, at Herblay Station, a teenager pushes several people under a train before throwing himself under the train that enters the opposite track. He tagged the sign “*e” on a wall before suiciding.

Soon, murders are multiplying throughout Europe.
