         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War 1 Weapons:<br>-Trench Warfare was where soldiers fought in trenches<br>-It was used to protect themselves from enemy fire.<br>Armies traded huge losses of human life for pitifully small land gains.<br>-Life in trenches was misery<br>-Men slept in mud, washed in mud, ate mud and dreamed mud. <br>-They were littered with rats.<br>Sleep and fresh food was rare.<br>-In the open spaces was where soldiers were ordered to attack and met rounds of machine guns.<br>-Artillery fire brought death right into the trenches. <br>-New tools of war was machine guns, poison gas, armored tanks, and larger artillery.<br>WORLD WAR 2<br>-Germans used Blitzkrieg or "lightening round" to invade Poland.<br>-They employed air strikes, fast tanks, followed by soldiers who sped into battle by trucks.<br>-Military jet planes were added into the war and added speed to fire power.<br>-The Atomic bomb was made and created a explosion that caused massive damage and cause radioactive aurora.<br>-Similarities-<br>-The similarities between these weapons and artillery was that they used the latest technology.<br>-Used guns<br>_many lives were lost to the weaponry </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Total War is a war that is &nbsp; unrestricted in terms of the weapons used, the territory or combatants involved, or the objectives pursued, especially one in which the laws of war are disregarded.<br>- The allies won the wars because<br>&nbsp; they were able to get the US on their side.&nbsp; The US had the potential to send millions of men and huge amounts of materiel into the war.&nbsp;<br>-The war changed women’s lives They showed society that they were able to do men’s jobs and were intellectually more than capable of taking part in society.</div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In World War 1 There were an estimated amount of 40 million causlities total (dead)<br>-There was an estimated amount of 9-11 million deaths in the millitary&nbsp;<br>-there were 23 million injured casualties.&nbsp;<br>-5-6 million causlities were civilian casualties&nbsp;<br>-central powers lost about 4 million lives&nbsp;<br><br>- in ww2 there was an estimated 50 million to more than 80 million.&nbsp;<br>-There were Civilians killed totalled 50 to 55 million, including 19 to 28 million from war-related disease and famine.<br>-The countries that lost the most causilties was Russia due to the battle of Stalingrad&nbsp;<br>- an ecellent video on the causilties is The Fallen of WW2<br>-heres the link\<br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World War 1 militarism:<br>-Governments were strongly influenced if not&nbsp; dominated by military leaders, their interests and priorities<br>-Generals and admirals sometimes acted as de facto government ministers, advising political leaders, influencing domestic policy and demanding increases in defense and arms spending<br>-Arms race which gave rise to new military technologies and increased defense spending<br>-Shaped culture, the media and public opinion<br>-Press held up military leaders as heroes , painted rival nations as aggressive and regularly engaged in 'war talk'<br><br>World War 2 militarism:<br>-Germany turned to a totalitarian form of government eventually led by Adolf Hitler<br>-Hitler felt disrespected in Versailles Treaty<br>-Build up of German military<br>-Italy felt disrespected<br>-Build up Italy's military<br>-Build up Japanese military<br>-Germany, Italy, and Japan eventually formed an alliance that was called the Axis Powers&nbsp;<br><br>What is the concept of an alliance?<br>- An alliance is when two or more firms come together to create a unique organizational entity in which each firm retains its individual identity and internal control.<br><br>The upside of alliances are:<br>- creates hope<br>-gives a feeling of security and support<br>-safety net<br>-boldness<br>The downside of alliances are:<br>-Bound countries together and created a precarious situation in the region<br>- many secrets add to problems<br><br>Imperialism-<br>-a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force<br>-One example of imperialism in WW1 is the British Empires propaganda slogan " The Sun Never Sets On Britain".<br><br>Nationalism-<br>-patriotic feeling, principles, or efforts<br>-Nationalism helped cause the war because attitudes and over-confidence were fueled by things like provocative speeches or press reports <br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The Treaty of Versailles ended WWI&nbsp;<br>- The Treaty of Versailles was the most important of the peace treaties that ended WWI<br>- The treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers.<br>- The league of nations would form to make sure things could be discussed by major world powers.<br>- All the blame for the start of the war was put on Germany<br>- Although the Versailles Treaty was very flawed.<br>- It made territorial and military changes to Germany which upset and greatly impacted Germany<br>- Germany would pay 33 billion dollars in reparations.<br>- The damage done to Germany because of the treaty would lead to the events that started WWII<br>-The Treaty of Paris would end world war 2.<br>The Treaty of Paris was signed on 10 February 1947, as the outcome of the Paris Peace conference<br>- The major powers met together informally 145 times and made all the major decisions, which in turn were ratified by others.<br>-</div>]]></description>
