I went to Exploration Place as a camp counselor with Maize Recreation Commission as a part of their Fun Factory program. I was apart of a group with another counselor that had children going into 1st and 2nd grade. The pictures included with this are of my son who participates in the camp. I enjoyed the learning experience we both had in the Barbie area. We both enjoyed the fashion game as my son is partially colorblind and we learned new ways for him to distinguish colors, while he also learned how to match outfits together.

Lucy's light was a very cute story that you experienced along a half mile trail at the nature center. The art along with the story was very well done and my kids enjoyed following along with it.

The art that was used to depict nature was beautiful. My kids were excited to see that and the touch area to learn about different species.

This is apart of the "Little Black Dress at 100" exhibit. My kids and I saw the differences of fashion through the decades and the different materials used to create the fashion of that specific decade.

This piece resonated with me. It is about post partum depression and looking at the stairs while the mother slept on the couch with the new baby. The wistfulness of wanting to sleep in her bed with her partner, but they have to be separate in order to sleep. My husband and I are currently in this position with our 1 year old. We sleep apart so that way only one of us is up with the baby each night.
