Question: Why is it that some people say that you should just try until your dream comes true when the truth is that so hard for some people to do that?
--------------
Answer: Some people don't have as much toughness as others. For example, take the moment when Josef slapped his father and his father started crying like a kid. This shows how some folks can be broken forever when they are traumatized. It is easy to see how Josef's father was forever torn down by his experience in the concentration camp. We aren't all like Josef -- strong and 100% determined to survive whatever horror comes our way.

question:Why is it that people in the world commit crimes? Is there ever a time someone should commit a crime?
-----------------------------
Answer:There are many reasons why people in this world feel the need to commit a crime one of the reasons is they feel the need to get back at someone for doing something to them or they feel the need to break the law just because they want too.For example people deciding to sell drugs or robbing the store or destroying someones property the only reason why someone decides to destroy someones property is because they did something bad too them and they wanna get back to them.I personally think there is never a time to commit a crime only because you wanna get into trouble or because someone did something too you.Overall i think there should never be a time where someone is even thinking about committing a crime or coming up with ideas to do something to someone.

Our system hangs on the idea that officials can tell the difference between a valid and false claim. Good people like Isabel, Josef and Mahmoud go through struggle to find a better life just get turn away. Authorities aren't willing to spend money or time to help refugees or immigrants to find jobs. They are committed a crime of piracy to stay on the Atlantic Ocean, not be greedy. Desperation and the feeling to protect your love ones caused Josef and many others to commit crime. Authorities uses crime in situation like that to not accept refugees. We should have empathy towards refugees and immigrants for them to feel acceptance.

Question- What makes accepting refugees so important?

-------------------------------
Answer- Their are many reason to why it is so dangerous for a country to accept refugees. Familiar reasons like terrorism and desperate need of crimes. Common challenges for all refugee women, regardless of other demographic data, are access to healthcare and physical abuse and instances of discrimination, sexual violence, and human trafficking are the most common ones. So their past can trigger and affect their future life. Many countries dehumanize refugees and see them as parasites who are not seen as normal people. Like in the book, all three characters have commit crimes out of desperation. But we don't know how far they are willing to go. We need to consider refugees past and how can that affect the future.

Question: Why do some of the people who help the refugees not like them and if so why help them?
--------------------------------
Answer: Some of the people who help see the refugees as parasites or someone below them. Why? They don't have Empathy for the refugees cause they don't Experience the same thing as others do. They don't see their parent taken away only when to see them again their parent is traumatized. Josefs father was taken to a concentration camp when he saw his father again to escape his father was different person scared, crazy, a child. Yet the firemen still treated them badly cause of how they saw the Jews. If so why help? Money. A bunch of refugees that are desperate needing to get one place to another they think its a great way to make money even if to lie to the refugees. Mahmoud and his family had to pay a lot money for just getting on to a boat to turkey even on safety vest. But the "boat" wasn't even a boat and the safety vest did not help save their lives. They did not have empathy for these people suffering terrible losses.

why do states make it so hard for refugees to be accepted or for people to leave?

of course there are many answers to this question like the country might not have enough space or they're aren't enough jobs for the refugees but i think they're just scared of what they refugees could do. they probably thing that the refugees might be a terrorist that wants to secretly enter the US to cause disaster but at this point i think that is just ludicrous, after all why would a refugee try to enter a if they hadn't been running from something but at the same time why is it hard for some people to escape. like how Isabel's friends brother, Luis and his girlfriend were being forced to stay because they were also being forced to fight in the army even tho they're police officers. like what? why force people to stay and fight if they want to leave with their family, maybe the army has a shortage of troops but that is still no reason to force people to fight. well i think that the government will let people leave but only a certain amount because they need troops, which is why i believe the government was forcing Luis and his girlfriend to stay behind and fight against their will
