Perseverance is one of the greatest values I hold close because having perseverance has helped me get through a lot. As a result of having perseverance, I am able to push through things when they get tough and have the determination to finish things I start.
 
Selflessness is something I am proud to value because life is not always about me. I value helping others over myself and caring about others. I am one of the most selfless people you would meet because I put others before myself and how I would rather help others than be self-centered.
 
I value being there for my family. There have been so many times I am there for my family in the good times as well as the not so good times. Two examples jump  out at me immegiately which are driving my sister around when she couldn’t drive and helping my mom after she had surgery for her hip replacement. I was almost always more than willing to dirve my sister places when she needed me and couldn’t drive. Also, I was the person my mom knew she could tern to after her surgery because I was always there to assist and help her with whatever she needed whether it be simply going downstairs and getting her a drink or having to run errands for her because she couldn’t get out of the house. Also another time I helped out family in a difficult time was when my mommom fell and hurt her ankle. I was so selfless, I came over her house for 2 days and assisted her throughout those whole 2 days. I was basically her caretaker for 2 days when she couldn’t move or do anything on her own.
 
Lastly, I value kindness because it doesn’t cost anything to be kind. Kindness is just my nature and I would rather make someone’s day by being kind then have a bad attitude about things. I would rather be kind and smile to someone I pass by at school than have an annoyed or negative attitude.

My parents have had the most influence on me, and if either were not in my life, I don’t think I could live. My parents are the hardest-working people I know, and I have learned to never give up. My dad always tells me, “As long as you do your best, that’s all I can ever ask.” My dad is a general manager at a small company, and is a manufacturing accountant who works seven days a week and my mom is an IT business analyst who works a full-time job as well. My dad is the kindest man I know, and he is truly someone special. My mom is strong and guiding and without her guidance, I would be lost. My parents have also taught me to always be kind and as my dad says, “It doesn’t cost anything to be kind”.

I was raised Roman Catholic and even though I still attend Catholic Church on Sunday’s and enjoy doing to the Rosary group to pray the Rosary, I enjoy being apart of young adult Christian fellowships as well. I have been apart of the Thrive Christian fellowship here at Montco for about 4 years now and absolutely love it. I have met so many people and have become so much more outgoing than how shy I was in high school. I learned how to crochet from my mom when I was 10 and have been crocheting ever since. I enjoy making scarves, blanket, and other things. Some projects I have completed include: multiple scarves, a blanket, and one shawl. I also enjoy reading a lot because it is something I can turn to if I’m stressed or upset that calms me down. Even though I don’ have the best comprehension, I find books that I can understand. I usually read young adult books, however, recently I found I love James Patterson’s books especially the Bookshots he has written. I bought a huge stack of James Patterson’s bookshots over the holidays and enjoy them so much. They are so action packed and not very long. Lastly, I enjoy watching sports and watching sports would not be the same if I didn’t watch sports games with my dad. My dad and I are the perfect duo for watching sports. We are so enthusiastic, and I have been watching sports with my dad since I was little. I run for personal enjoyment and even though running gets hard for me, since I am not in the best shape, I persevere through positive self-talking. While I run I voice positive self-talk to help me persevere and get through it.
