         <title>Camels in the Silk Road</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Since camels were able to use their large feet from sinking into the ground. They were also able to carry heavy loads while being able to travel long distances without requiring rest or water. Camels were the most reliable animals that could provide transportation to transport luxury goods such as silk, spices, and gun powder without slowing down.</li><li>Throughout one's journey, camels were used as resources; their milk and even their meat were part of travelers' diet.</li><li>Other animals that were used on the Silk Road include horses, mules and yaks. </li><li>The Parthians(Ancient Iraq) were the first to begin to use two-humped Bactrian camels which were able to transport heavy loads.&nbsp; Other camels that were used were one-humped camels that were the most common camels used on the Silk Road, they were later defined as the "ideal pack animal".</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Trading for better transportation </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although camels were a big part of the transportation system used to trade by empires other animals were also used for examples horses. China and others places that were not able to raise strong horses for trading or their army got their horses from neighbors who could raise horses.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Because of the importance in the lives of people all over Asia and Europe camels and horses featured in the visual and literature of the place they helped or influenced. Chinese &amp; Arab poetry featured camels and horses, textiles woven by and for the nomads featured these animals, they appeared in gifts for royalty and even appeared among the mingqi in China which were sculptural representations of those who were seen as providing for the decease in the afterlife.
