However, people can get a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Art), and a degree in visual arts. Through this field, many people can enhance their theatre skills, learn about theatre basics, and gain stage experience! In the curriculum, many students learn about many acting teaching techniques and vocal training for four years led. Some techniques involve clowning, Shakespeare, practical Aesthetics, and voice dialect. To get a BFA, they are most prevalent in liberal arts colleges.

Additionally, potential actors have the ability to get an MFA, a Master's Degree in Fine Art. This three-year program allows for the development of actors wanting to pursue a career in academic or professional theatre. With this degree, an actor can get special training from a professional who gives them first-hand experience in acting, voice, speech, movement, and dance. 

Furthermore, many actors have the ability to attend local theatre classes where they can further improve and perfect their acting and theatre abilities. At these two-hour-long classes, an instructor teaches many actors important techniques to solidify an actor's presence on stage! Some techniques include body movement, stage directing, and diction practice.

Most actors get an agent a few years into their job. The agent helps them find auditions and casting calls. Actors will also typically spend up to 30+ hours a week practicing lines and rehearsing. The job is very demanding, as it requires them to dedicate a lot of time to their job. They also are required to travel a lot, as filming can be located in different places depending on the production. An actor's typical schedule might look something like this:

5:30 AM: Wake up & shower
7:00 AM: Arrive at set & eat breakfast
7:30 AM: Wardrobe and Makeup
8:00 AM: Filming/rehearsing
2:00 PM: lunch break
3:00 PM: Filming
7:00 PM: go home

This can vary based on what kind of job it is and what role the actor is playing. An actor on a TV show might be called at 5 in the evening rather than 7 in the morning. They also might be doing this a few times a week. An actor for a movie might be doing this every day, and again, their call time can vary. These sites are reliable for actors as they can find and go to auditions. Websites like Casting Networks, Backstage, and Actor's Access are some of the top acting auditioning sites where these actors can get called for special roles in live theatre. All actors need to do is create their profile, upload a headshot, resume, and some footage of their acting talents, and then start self-submitting to the casting calls and agencies.  However, some sample job listings require some actors to go in person and go to their audition to get cast for Broadway. Most of these in-person auditions are done in big cities like New York, to draw the attention of the public for their next show. Additionally, many acting opportunities can be found on social media. Through the likes of Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, and Facebook, many actors find their way scrolling through these media platforms where they can find local castings near them or around the world. This encourages actors to not only audition for a local theatre or Broadway production depending on their experience, but rather motivates actors to put themselves out there.
