My article was about Anne Frank's life and how she and the people staying with her got caught. It explains what actions they did when Hitler rose to power, which people they stayed with, and how their life was before they hid and after they got caught.

I chose this article because everyone has always wondered how she was caught, and the mystery is still trying to be solved. It is also important to understand how her life was because we could use this information to relate to other Jews who were hiding during this time.

What I liked about it is that it didn't just explain Anne Frank's life when she was hiding, but her childhood. Another thing I like is that it explains everything in an easy, understandable way.

One question I have from this article is why they let multiple other people hide with them because one of them probably backstabbed everyone else.

I would recommend this to others because it is very important to understand not just Anne's; life, but the life of all Jewish people during this time, and Anne Frank's life gives us an idea of how Jews spent their lives during this moment in time.

My article was about a girl named Sonia Orbuch, born Sarah Shainwald(changes name to be concealed from the Nazi's). It tells how her story of what she did as a partisian and how she became one, plus her post war story.

I chose this article because I wanted to see how a teenage girl could help so much in war-like/"man- like" activities. She was amazing at tending to injuring partisian and what makes it even more amazing is that she wasn't afraid to die.

This article first explains her life before and after hitler comes into power, life as a partisian, and her post war life.

I liked that the article explain Sonia's life in such and easy way that I can literally picture the events in my head.

One question that have is; The article explains one of her brothers already joined a partisian unit. Did Sonia ever see him when she was a partisian?

Why did Sonia's family try to escape to another country other the U.S. ?

I would recommend this article because it show how big of an impact a teenage girl and fellow partisians could do in this HORRIBLE event. I mean, they DID save many Jews from concentration camps.

My article was about who betrayed Anne Frank, and how she and her family were forced into hiding. It continues on to tell about the Holocaust and how after they were sent to concentration camps, the only survivor was Otto Frank. It also tells about how sadly, a few weeks after Anne's death, the camps were liberated by the Allied troops.

I chose this text because many people, including me, have always wondered if someone had told the German troops about the Frank's location, of if they had just been too loud.

I liked how it was very informational, and I had learned things from the article that I hadn't known before about Anne and her other family members.

A question I have is why didn't they privately hide with only ONE person knowing about where they were, because it would lower the risk of them being backstabbed, and if they did tell the German troops, there would only be one suspect, and people today would then know who would've been the one to expose the Franks hiding place.

Yes- I would recommend this to others, because it is important to know about what happened, and you will know more information then what you had known before.

My article was about Anne Frank's diary and how it was published, everything her family went through it was called '' The Girl Who Wanted to Live Forever." I chose this article because it stuck out to me, it was bold, it just screamed to me. I loved how inspirational it was with all the little details. My only question is what happened to her dad after he got the diary published? I definitely would recommend to someone because her story is deeply inspiring.

The Article gave good info and was easy to read.

My question is who betrayed Anne Frank? My theory is that the police where looking for maybe some illegal stuff when they stummbeld upon some one entering the building they were hiding in. I wonder if the police where the people who found it and told the Nazis, or maybe they where betrayed by one of their own people....

Yes, I would recommend this because people should know all the hard stuff they went through and this topic is interesting but sad..

I choose an article called "The girl who fought the Nazis." And it's about a girl named Sonia. I choose this story because it has a lot of info about how Sonia and her family have to stay in ghetto and then after some time passes, Sonia and her family have to flee in order to be safe. What I like about this story, is that it talks about the Nazi party, and it tells us a lot of info about how people live during that time in history. Some questions I have about this article is that why Sonia changed her job from a doctor to a fighter. I would recommend this story because it gives us a picture of how the Jews suffers through the hardness.

What was your article about?

The article I chose was "The Girl Who Fought the Nazis. My article was about a girl named Sonia Orbuch who fought in WWII as a Jew. Jewish soldiers were called Partisans, and Sonia was one of them. She went through a lot as a Jew during the Holocaust. Her and her family were forced into hiding, forced to do extremely exhausting labor work, and had to survive hiding in a forest too.

Why did you chose it?

I thought it sounded interesting and the name "The Girl Who Fought the Nazis" intrigued me. I wanted to know what is was about and if someone really did fight the Nazis.

What did you like about it?

I liked to hear about the story of Sonia Orbuch. Her story is very inspiring and she had many adversities she had to overcome. Both her brothers had to leave to fight in the war, so it was just her and her parents. Then she had to fight as a Partisan. But overall, her story is very interesting.

What questions did you have from the article?

I wonder, did the partisans who were German Jews, really fight other Germans? (Nazis and Nazi believers) And I wonder what did Sonia think about being a Partisan. And what did she think about Adolf Hitler?

Would you recommend it? Why or why not?

I would recommend it to others. It was a very interesting and inspiring article. I think other people would definitely enjoy it. Others should read it to learn about the history of WWII and The Holocaust, and Sonia Orbuch's life as a Jew in 1920s-1950s.

The article i read was about the girl who lived forever. Anne Franke was a 13 year old girl who lived in Germany but were forced to leave and go to Amsterdam a city in Netherlands because it was to dangerous cause of the Nazi's and Hitler. When they got to Amsterdam Anne's dad (Otto) ran a business and Hitler and the Nazi's seemed far away from them. In May 1940 the Nazi's invaded the Netherlands and made laws to remove Jewish people from their life. Soon Jewish people started to vanish. There were rumors about concentration camps—horrible places where the Nazis were murdering Jews. But Anne’s family could not leave Amsterdam. By 1942, Jewish people were not allowed to travel. But behind Otto's business there was an annex. Four of Otto's workers said that they would sneak in supplies for the family After the Franks arrived at the annex, others joined them. In all, eight people hid in the annex. Living in such a small space was hard. Anne’s only comfort was her diary. Anne and the others spoke in whispers. The smallest noise could give them away.

The helpers brought supplies—and news. World War II was raging across Europe. People were starving. And many Jewish people had been taken away by the Nazis. Anne lived in the annex for two years. She wrote about life in her diary. Then came catastrophe. In August 1944, Dutch police and a Nazi officer forced their way into the annex In May 1945, the fighting in Europe ended. The Nazis had lost. By then, they had murdered 6 million Jews. This genocide is known as the Holocaust. Otto was rescued from a concentration camp But while he was there he realized that his wife and daughters had not made it out alive.

Caleb Chen

my article was about how there was a girl named Sonia Orbach. she was a helper in World War one and helped people she also healed them. she was very helpful even though she did not know that much medical stuff. then after World War one she saw Hittler and she hated him she was forced into hiding. she had to run through the forest to run from the nazis.

I chose it because it looked interesting and a like how she ran away from the nazis. those kinds of people can change how people think about the nazis, because she was forced into hiding and she just kept running from the nazis.

I like how she went for it and just ran away and not toward the nazis. she was also a going to be put into a concentration camp, so she had it hard. this was also good because the story actually made it to an article so that's how I like it to.

why did she help in World War one if she did not know how to heal people? why her brother join the pedestrian unit? did she ever see him in the pedestrian unit?

i would recommend it because it was very inspiring and it helped me hate the nazis more.
