As a student, I experienced most the summative assessment. I was tested on official papers, midterms, or essays. In any case, I was "judged" by one official paper despite my whole annual learning try. I think that this was full of pressure to all of the students and we were really having a bad time through the process of exams. On the other hand, formative assessment focuses on daily and more informal exams, which examine the student in a relaxing and enjoying way- through projects, writting assisgments and questions-. I know it seems similar to the summative assessment but believe me, it is not. The whole atmosphere of the formative assessment is more approachable to students and makes teacher's job easier.

From what I have been taught from this workshop until now... at the heart of PBL process we find... collaboration. Students take the ownership of tasks. They cooperate with each other and manage to solve the problems that we, as tutors-facilitators give them.

All in all, the PBL approach seems ideal for our 21st century classrooms. The most beneficial part of it, is that our students "hold the reins" of the lesson and they can learn more efficiently in this way. By rejecting the authority figure and creating a tutor-guide figure of the teacher as well as by building constructive criticism among us, we could actually implement the PBL approach and we might have better results in our education system. I really hope that the future classrooms would seem like that....
