The best part of a hiring process I experienced was a mindful moment prior to the interview. The worst process I experienced was lack of communication, answering questions, or feedback during the interview.

The best experiences were probably when the interviewer smiled and was friendly, seemed down to earth. The worst was when the interviewer was rigid, emotion/expressionless, seemed too serious, unable to build a rapport

The best experience was when the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in my answers and me and a candidate, and the worst experience was when the interview kept going off topic and asking me personal questions.

The best experience I've had was with an incredibly prepared team. They quickly made me feel comfortable by expressing how much they wanted my honesty and respected me as a professional. It let to an interview and hiring practice where I felt able to be myself and see clearly how I would be able to fit into their culture. My worst experiences have been with teams who have talked down to others and chose not to treat me as a potential collaborator and partner towards a common goal.

The best hiring process I have had is when the job posting was very descriptive, and the interviewing team was communicative and responsive through the process. Some of the less positive experiences generally involve inconsistent responses from hiring management, and not fully transparent information was shared during the interview itself.

The best experience I have had was an interview where the interviewees seemed genuinely interested in me and my experience/qualifications, and were approachable and encouraged questions. All parties were prepared and professional, and quick to respond throughout the hiring process.

I would say the worst experiences would be from where I could tell the culture felt weird, or that they would avoid questions or didn't seem transparent about the information they were giving me.

I just recently went through an interview and it was very casual and the interviewers seemed genuinely interested in what I had to offer. As for orientations, the more engaging the better. Not having the facilitator just read off of a powerpoint!
