<title>I would rate this book 4 stars because it was very interesting to learn about how Nike was created. It was really fun to learn about the challenges Phil Knight went through to create his very successful company. </title>

<title>A connection I have with this book is sneakers. I love collecting Nike shoes and I have over 50 of them already. I&#39;ve always loved Nike and I loved learning about how it was created, so, reading this was really fun for me.</title>

<title>One of the important passages is when Phil Knight starts up his career. He flew to Japan to a shoe factory to make a deal with them. He was put on the spot to try and figure out a name for his company. He pictured his parents&#39; home and his wall he covered with blue ribbons from track. He said he had represented Blue Ribbon Sports. This is important because this is how Nike got started.</title>

<title>My favorite part of the book was when he asked one of his students at Portland State to be an artist for his company. This student&#39;s name was Carolyn Davidson and Phil Knight hired her because she needed extra money to take oil painting classes. Phil Knight came up with the idea to make his own brand of athletic shoes. He needed Carolyn&#39;s help to create an image to go on the side of the shoe. She was the one who came up with the famous Nike Swoosh and it represents movement and speed.</title>

<title>A theme from this story is #justdoit. Just do it isn&#39;t just a theme it&#39;s also Nike&#39;s slogan. They&#39;re trying to tell you not to give up and to just do it. Their slogan isn&#39;t just for sports, it&#39;s also for challenges you see in your life. </title>

<title>The person who has power in this book is Phil Knight. He has power because he was the one who came up with the idea to start this company. He uses his power well because he was very smart about who should work for him and who wasn&#39;t qualified. Something that challenged his power was other companies. He kept his power by finding a few new ways to run Nike. </title>

<title>The part I feel most teens relate to was when Phil Knight was at a showcase for shoes and no one would look at Nikes. Phil Knight had said it had felt like an elementary school science fair and no one wanted to look at his project. I feel like a lot of people have had that happen at their science fair.</title>

<title>Three main adjectives to describe Phil Knight are shy, active, and smart. Phil Knight had said he was very active because he ran everyday. He was on the track team and won many medals. He is also very smart because he came up with the idea of starting this business all by himself. Phil Knight had said he was very shy in school and barely talked to anybody.</title>

<title>Something Phil Knight did that I disagree with is lose confidence in himself. I disagree with this because if you&#39;re trying to start a big company, you can&#39;t just give up right when something bad happens. The reason Phil Knight started to give up was when another company tried to take Nike from him. But, Phil Knight did realise he couldn&#39;t just stop trying. I would&#39;ve persevered and fought to keep my company.</title>

<title>A couple apps I feel Phil Knight would have on his phone is, Nike, Snkrs, Nike run club, Nike training club, and Foot Locker. The reason I chose all of these is because they all relate to Nike and sneakers.</title>

<title>A couple books others would like if they liked Shoe Dog would be, The Everything Store by: Brad Stone which talks about how Amazon was created, Steve Jobs by: Walter Isaacson which talks about how Apple was created, and Elon Musk by: Ashlee Vance Which explains how Tesla was made. All of these books are like Shoe Dog because they talk about the struggles these founders went through to create their company.</title>
