Fidel Castro, a Cuban political leader who transformed Cuba into the first communist state, could have easily won the election against Fulgencio Batista. So he was not happy when Batista took over. Later Castro overthrew Batista and took control. During the time of Fidel Castro’s leadership he was extremely successful and made changes that have lasted into modern day society. These changes were, free educations, Free medical care, and rights for women and the ability for them to participate in government.

If women were to not have gotten any rights and were not ever allowed to participate in government. This would leave many jobs unfilled. For example director of the FMC Women’s Studies Center, coordinator of the FMC National Committee on Violence and Domestic Violence, and president of the Cuban Family Law Association, secretary of the National Union of Cuban Jurists, and member of the FMC National Committee. These are all very important jobs that exist today, and all of these jobs happen to be filled by women.

Free education comes to Cuba.

Education is one of the most important things every child should have. And every child has the right to an education. But all of that is stopped if there is no available place to earn that education. So Fidel Castro making the free school system in Cuba is very important so now children and young adults can get educations to later earn jobs in life.

Health care is a major thing all around the world. Without it we would have a hard time surviving. The health care that Fidel Castro brought into Cuba has helped to keep their 11 million population of people healthy into old age. Being a medical worker in Cuba is highly popular now. In October 2014 15,000 medical workers volunteered to help in a relief they were the single largest national medical force.
