You can no longer die to anything except being gleaned by a scythe. Gleaning is where a scythe kills you.
There are these two kids, Rowan and Citra. Rowan meets a scythe at school and is going to glean one of the children. It happens to be Rowans nemesis. The scythe asks Rowan to come into the room while he gleans. So Rowan does it and all the other kids hate him for going into the room. That same scythe also goes to Citra's house. He asked her to be his apprentice and asked Rowan to be his apprentice. They are both his apprentice and at conclave (the meeting of scythes in a certain region) the head scythes bring up that seeing how the scythe is apprenticing 2 people, that when they geet ordained, the person who gets the best score on the final test, has to glean the other apprentice.
