Critism of unhealthy eating.

The comic starts with Garfield and odie stealing Jhons food and forces Jhon to eat pretty quikly his meal. After eating he does look at Garfield with a victory and kind of crazy. Then Garfield say it is disgusting but Jhon just did what Garfield did in the comic. Garfield as a charachter is a very grumpy hiprocate cat that dislikes it when other people copys his bad behavior towards him. In a way this is showing unhealthy and obesity since garflied is a very fat cat whos diet consist on lasagna and eating unhealthy amounts of it. It shows unhealthy eating with no actual regulation. Jhon as an owner hes showing garfield that is okay since in no actual comic stip he seems to do or act concern about his cats wheight.

Unhealthy lifestyle

The comic is a lot of basic line art with simple coloring. In the comic it shows garfield on his birthday doing all his normal acticities. He has a birthday hat but he does not really seem to do much just sleep and eat and hit the dog. Garfield has unhealthy habbits and bearely get excesice. Then again this commic stip sopports my theory that garfield is not forced to be healthy and active.

Jim Davis uses irony and sarcasm to show the viewer the unhealthy lifestyles of a fat cat named Garfield. For example, in the first comic shown we can see Garfield stealing Johns lasagna. In a dramatic change of events, Jhon decides to do the same and Garfield is shown to be shocked and disgusted and the fact that jhon imitated his behavior. The author makes this in an ironic thats a joke. It tries to simpathize with the bad eating habits most people have. Since jhon his owner never actually tiries to put Garfield in shape and constantly lets him eat whatever he wants. This showing a lack of responsibility on johns part as an owner.
