Jan 1965: King and Ralph Abernathy both protest and get arrested and refuse to get bonded out 
Feb 1965: President Johnson makes his first statement supporting the campaign and promises to urge congress to pass a voting rights bill.
Feb 1965: State troopers attack protesters in Marion killing one of the protesters.
Mar 1965: "Bloody Sunday" as 600 people march, 50 get injured and 16 are hospitalized because of state troopers, and many other deputies who had beaten them. 
Mar 1965: For the final march, President Johnson sends 1000 military police, 2000 army soldiers, and many other deputies to provide protection for the people in the march.
