this eTwinning journey has deeply changed me. It made me look at my own children differently, appreciate my home, and stop complaining about the little things we lack at school—like digital boards or nicer walls—when others are literally fighting for their lives.

You gave us unforgettable life lessons that I will carry in my heart forever. Alma and the brave students from Qusra Secondary School in Palestine showed us that education is a powerful escape route from war. Ola, despite the bombings, closures, and painful silence, never gave up on our shared work. Sophia taught me to "ride the waves of life" and never surrender to health issues. And Olena, our Ukrainian ambassador, who had to rush to a shelter with her students during our live meeting because of drone sirens... your collective resilience is incredible.You all taught me something!

These are not just school collaborations; they are real, raw human stories. In my own small way, I promise to keep teaching my students tolerance and mutual respect, because education is the only weapon of peace we truly have.

As our eTwinning project comes to an end, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers and students who have been part of this wonderful journey.

Working together with people from different countries has been an enriching experience. We have not only shared knowledge and ideas, but also learned about different cultures, traditions, and ways of thinking. This project has shown us that distance is not a barrier when we work together with respect, enthusiasm, and friendship.

Thank you for your collaboration, creativity, dedication, and kindness throughout the year. Every activity, meeting, and shared experience has made this project special and unforgettable.

I hope that the friendships and connections we have built will continue in the future. Wishing you all success, happiness, and many exciting opportunities ahead.

We had the huge privilege to work side by side with brave teachers, who are living in war-stricken areas fighting together with their students for freedom and their right to live in a peaceful world with justice. Our students' hearts were moved and their minds enlightened, when they heard the New Year Wishes from Qusra Secondary School in Palestine and Alma's message during our amazing meeting as well as teacher Ola's wonderful contributions to our shared workload, amidst the chaos, darkness and destruction around her.

Huge thanks also go to the wonderful Olena and her students that in a school that was celebrating its long history , had to face the ugliness of war with true courage, dignity and dedication to Europe. We all learnt so many things from each other, teacher Changir that was working wonders and taught us so much about technology, despite many difficulties, Delia , who struggled seeing her class once a week , Pauline, who was wrapping our Christmas cards with a broken leg, Dorina, whose 1st graders were real superheroes dealing with such elevated topics, the higher secondary students of all schools, who contributed so much to the project, despite their difficult syllabus and exams.

Huge thanks goes to each and everyone of you! We, in the 4th Primary Prevezas, loved this journey, perhaps we never arrived to Ithaca (which is in reality, quite close to Preveza), but we truly tried, even if we lacked equipment, technical knowledge and resources. Thank you all, dear friends!

Needless to say without our super founder Silvia and her students, none of this would be so beautiful and magical. I am so grateful to you, dearest Silvia!

Kyriaki Dermitzaki, 4th Primary Prevezas, Greece

From the very beginning, I threw myself into projects, collaborations and new challenges. It was often demanding, sometimes exhausting, but never—not for a single moment—did I regret taking that leap. Along the way, I met extraordinary educators whose passion, creativity and dedication constantly inspired me. I learned from them grew with them and found not only like-minded colleagues but genuine friends across Europe and beyond.

Through eTwinning I discovered that regardless of the educational system we work in, the resources we have or the obstacles we face, it only takes one spark to ignite the flame of knowledge and put a sincere smile on a child's face. Education is not about buildings, technology, grades or curricula. It is about people. It is about connection. It is about hope.

Although I was not a member of this particular project, I had the privilege of joining the Europe Day celebration and listening to the Palestinian teacher share their reality. Her words touched me deeply. I found myself admiring their courage, determination and unwavering commitment to education despite living through circumstances that many of us can hardly imagine. While their daily lives are overshadowed by uncertainty and the struggle simply to remain safe, they continue building bridges, creating opportunities and offering their students a window to the world.

The same admiration goes to our colleagues in Ukraine, who continue teaching, inspiring and nurturing young minds while facing the harsh realities of war. Words feel inadequate to express my respect and solidarity with educators who refuse to let conflict, fear or hardship extinguish the light of learning.

Their example reminds us of something essential: as teachers, our mission goes far beyond numbers, grammar rules, exams and certificates. We must also teach what truly matters—human rights, peace, tolerance, respect for diversity, empathy, solidarity, resilience and humanity itself.

On a personal level, these stories resonate deeply with me. Like Silvia said, I am a warrior too. Since the age of twenty-three, I have been living and battling with disability and health challenges. Yet I have never allowed my condition to define me or overshadow my life. My motto has always been simple: pain is inevitable, suffering is a choice. And every day, I choose living over mourning, courage over fear and fighting over giving up.

Perhaps that is why these stories move me so profoundly. They remind me that resilience is not about denying hardship; it is about refusing to let hardship have the final word.

As this school year comes to an end, I wish for all of us to continue finding significance in the smallest things, gratitude in ordinary moments and hope even during difficult times. May we never stop inspiring our students, learning from one another, building bridges instead of walls and believing in the transformative power of education.

Because in the end, the greatest lessons we teach are not found in textbooks. They are found in the way we choose to live, to care, to persevere and to stand beside one another.

Thank you all for reminding me why I became a teacher in the first place. ❤️

As our project “Science Speaks Louder Than Words” comes to an end, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for this wonderful journey.

Our school was delighted to participate in the project with two groups of students – primary and secondary. Throughout the project, the children enjoyed a wide variety of creative and inspiring activities that encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and learning.

We truly appreciated the friendly and supportive atmosphere among all partners. Working together, sharing ideas, and learning from one another made this experience both meaningful and memorable for our students and teachers.

It was a great pleasure to collaborate with Kyriaki and Silvia once again in our second project together. Your dedication, professionalism and positive spirit contributed greatly to the success of our cooperation.

Back in September, I could never have imagined what lay ahead when I embarked on this experience for the first time. This European experience has profoundly transformed me as a pupil, a student and a teacher, and I am keen to share this opportunity with my students.

Thanks to this project, I have found a way to let them experience this European adventure.

Fate led me to an extraordinary team led by Silvia and Kyriaki. I discovered new skills, learnt the ins and outs of an eTwinning project, and mastered new tools… None of this would have been possible without the constant support and kindness of the project team.

As the year draws to a close, we have looked back on this project with the students; we have laughed, been blown away by the work of the youngest pupils, and moved by the words of the pupils from Palestine and Ukraine, which make us feel humble and grateful for the good fortune we have.

So thank you for placing your trust in me, and for welcoming me and my students so warmly into this big family that is the e-Twinners.

Throughout this project, our students have not only developed their digital and linguistic skills—from their very first introductory videos in 1st ESO to their co-teaching lessons—but they have also discovered the powerful role of women in STEM across our partner countries. They have learned that curiosity, research, and knowledge do not belong to a single nation, but are universal values that unite us all.

Alma’s beautiful reminder during eTwinning Day deeply resonated with our community: even in challenging times and despite geographical distances, education and peace are the universal flags that connect our shared humanity. By researching these inspiring women scientists, our students realized that science indeed speaks every language, and that when we connect through education, we build a better, more peaceful future.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all the extraordinary teachers, passionate partners, and brilliant students who poured their hearts into this project. Thank you for your hard work, your creativity, and your commitment to making this an unforgettable experience.
