Here you can see two different forms of food advertisement. One is a picture of a screenshot taken from a fast-food ad. The other is a screenshot taken from a recipe book. Along with other advertisements like these, are several other sources of temptation and attractions to food. Especially unhealthy food. Like food commercials as a reference. So, my argument is that although overcoming food addiction is essential. We should shift our focus to what causes food addiction in the first place.

Based on research, the overexposure to foods high in carbs and added sugars are one of the main causes of food addiction, (Michelle S. Hunt, Clinical Psychologist). I attest, other causes can be early childhood exposure to bad eating habits, Lack of discipline, Miseducation of nutrition, and the abundance of food advertisement in the media.

Similar to cause and effect, the books i chose touch base on the effects of food addiction while the screenshots of the burger and recipe book are part of what i believe the cause is.

I on the other hand, am not a specialist but i do have experience with fighting obesity and food addition. Therefore, i can relate to anyone who is going through the same. My primary appeal is Pathos. So, which one where you more persuaded by?
