One event that he experienced at a young age was getting thrown out of a car. It sounds like a interesting experience but it was actually a near death experience that Trevor did not know at the moment. Trevor Noah and his mother were trying to go to church one day, and when they went to their car it did not start. They decided instead of not going to church they would catch mini buses that day. When they were done with the three churches they attended that day it was late at night and they did not see any mini buses out so they decided to hitch hike. When someone finally stopped for them a mini bus driver came right behind the car and was angry that the person that offered Trevor and his mother a car ride was stealing his customers. His mother did not want to cause any arguments between the two so she said it was fine and hopped in the car with the mini bus driver. Trevor was very tired but the mini bus driver was still mad at the whole situation and starts accusing Trevor's mother of being a irresponsible woman and that she was just looking for men and since his mother was Xhosa it was known that Xhosa woman were promiscuous and unfaithful. He then got mad and killing was very normal down in South Africa at the time. So Trevor's mother was very smart and decided that she would have to leave the situation before the mini bus driver killed her, Trevor, and his baby brother Andrew. Trevor at the time was clueless how much danger he was in but his mother kept on trying to reason with the mini bus driver until he started driving faster and faster. Patricia Noah then decided that she would have tot take action beaus she did not want her family getting killed. She then told Trevor who was dead asleep that they will be jumping out of the car when they slowed down at a turn, she thought that Trevor hear but little did she know he didn't. They got to a turn and the bus slowed down and she pushed Trevor out and jumped out Protecting baby Andrew in her arms, and the three of them started running as fast as they could and they finally lost the mini bus driver. His moms dog was Panther and his was Fufi. Fufi was deaf but Trevor or his mom did not know that they just thought that Panther was smart and Fufi was dumb and didn't listen. Fufi was basically Trevor's best friend and one talent that Fufi had was that he could jump very high. Whenever Trevor and his mom left the house they always put the dogs in the backyard which had a wall that was very tall but every time they came home they would find Fufi waiting for them in the front. They always wondered how. One day when Trevor stayed home the dogs were in the back and he saw Fufi jump over, he immediately ran to the front and followed Fufi on his bike. Fufi went to some persons house Trevor knocked on the door and a kid answered he explained that his dog was inside but the kid called Fufi, Spotty and claimed that it was is dog and not Trevor's. They argued back and forth until the kid would not give Trevor his dog and Fufi did not answer to either name the two boys were calling it because he was deaf. Trevor ran back home crying until his mom came home and then he explained everything that happened to her, then his mom had to go have a talk with the kids mom and the kids mom ended up lying and saying they bought Fufi. Trevor's mom had to go home and collect documents saying that Fufi was theirs and pictures of Fufi with them. The other mom still did not agree until Trevor's mom offered her a hundred rand then the other woman finally agreed and gave Fufi back and when Fufi saw panther he immediately s tarted running towards them. Trevor being so confused on why his mom was saying this started saying you are my mother but the cashier and Trevor's mom both disagreed and Trevor's mother looked at Trevor like she had never seen him before. There was a maid there that had a son that Trevor would play with, one day they were using a magnifying glass to burn there names into pieces of wood and he was teaching the kid how to do this in the servants quarters which was filled with wood and old paint and Trevor had matches with him too all his usual fire making tools. They left and decided to go get a snack and when they came back they could not get back inside unless they got the kids mom so they decided to run around in the yard instead. After a while Trevor noticed smoke coming outside so he ran to go look through the window and noticed a small fire forming on the mattress. They ran and went to go get the maid but she did not know what to do and before they could get into the shed the whole thing caught on fire. the flames moved quickly and soon the roof was on fire and then the fire spread to the main house. The only thing that ended up lasting was the garage. The boy got the bag of berry's and poured them on the ground and squished them. Trevor was used to getting bullied so he just turned around and started picking berry's again. He was waiting at school to give it to her when she finally arrived before Trevor could even say happy valentines day she said that another kid called Lorenzo asked her to be his valentine and she said yes to him and that she could not have two valentines and that she was no longer Trevor's. Trevor thought that, that's how relationships work so he gave her the gifts and she said thank you and walked away. So Teddy ended up going a different way and getting caught but Trevor didn't. Teddy was nowhere to be seen for a few days until Trevor found out he was in jail. They woke up to smoke coming from the kitchen when Trevor's mom came out to the kitchen she saw Abel laying on the couch and he almost burnt the house down by cooking something on the stove to eat then falling asleep. Trevor's mom was so mad that he was putting her and her family in danger of almost dying that night. She yelled and yelled at Abel that night and he finally popped of on her. Abel smacked her right across the face. Abel did not approve and was still mad. One day when Trevor's mother and her brothers and the rest of his family were coming back from church one Sunday and Trevor did not go. When they came back home Abel was waiting for the whole family, with a gun when they got back home. Andrew tried to calm his dad down but it didn't work his dad told him that if he didn't move he would shoot him first. Andrew quickly moved and got baby Issac who was crying. Trevor's mom got in front of the gun and told everyone else to run, Abel shot her in the butt and she fell to the ground then he was standing above her and holding the gun to her head he shot 4 times but the gun failed. When the gun failed Trevor's mom pushed it away and ran to the car as Andrew hopped in the backseat. Until Boom Abel shot the mom through the windshield and blood splattered everywhere. Andrew hopped in the front seat and drove to the hospital and when he got there he immediately called Trevor and told him all the news very calmly. When Trevor got their Andrew broke down. Trevor's mother ended up surviving because the bullet that shot through her face missed any important veins going to the brain and missed her spinal cord by a hair. The doctor called it a miracle. Trevor ended up paying 50,000 rand.
