Another could be that they have an argumentative personality. An argument that I have had that was ignorant and silly would have to be the time that  me and my sister argued over whether or not calling her fat was funny. I argued that the fat Hallie joke is funny. While she argued that it is stupid and annoying. I once had this happen to me as I got in an argument with on of my brothers on why he should hang his bag on a wallhook that we had instead of leaving on the floor. My point was that he was to lazy to even try or attempt to hang the bag on the wall. I think this happens for a couple different reasons. The first reason is jealousy. Some people find themselves very jealous over little things that other people have or do and they get in arguments with that person over it. Another reason is some people will not allow them being told any different because either they are very confident about it or they just can not be told "no that is not right." An example, me and my sister argue all the time about who is going to clean the living room that SHE destroyed, but we don't have to talk about that. But anyway, she is the type that refuses to listen to anyone else cause she's always right, apparently. The way I see it, especially in little situations with my so grown 8 year old sister who knows everything is, I didn't make the mess therefore I will not be the only one cleaning it up. Other reasons include a need to prove something to someone, to right a wrong doing done to them, or to release built up anger that has been caused by something completely different. My sister and I have gotten into really long arguments because I moved something in her car. She had been annoyed about other things but took it out on me. He sent me what he wanted, but it was worded in a weird way, so I accidentally ordered the wrong thing.
