Describe a conflict or argument you were/are involved in that resulted in petty drama/silliness (this includes both you & the other person/people 🙂 ). Don't forget to add your name to your post!

One reason that people argue over silly things is that some people only believe that they are right and refuse to see where other people are coming from. Another could be that they have an argumentative personality. An argument that I have had that was ignorant and silly would have to be the time that me and my sister argued over whether or not calling her fat was funny. I argued that the fat Hallie joke is funny. While she argued that it is stupid and annoying. In the end I got yelled at for making fat jokes to her because she cannot take a joke.

I believe people can be so set on being right in their way and not see the other point of view that sill arguments just occur. A Silly/dumb argument that I can remember having would have to be the time when me and my brother and father argued about whether or not water is wet. I STILL argue in favor that it isn't because wet is an adjective, but my father thought it was and we went on about it for a while.

People argue over silly things because they have a strong opinion about the subject and refuse to be proven wrong. For example, I could say this certain car is good but Omar could just yell at me how it's just a bad car because engine or speed or something is just not better than the car he is talking about. I don't say much because I lack the knowledge but Omar will still say something. Hurts my feelings sometimes :( #cancelOmar

People can argue over things due to aggression, strong belief of a topic, or a strong hatred towards something. Or maybe it's just stupid and you're getting defensive. It reminds of this this one time like,, this one's random but okay so basically me and my friend, Corey, were arguing over who the biggest simp was. I don't remember how it started, but my friend Jade ended up getting involved and xey kept like,, screaming it at him like, "YOU'RE A SIMP, ADMIT IT COREY!" He screamed back a lot, just saying, "I HATE YOU, I'M NOT A SIMP!!" And then Jade and I started like,, chanting it at him and he got so mad, like he's taller than Jade and I and was stomping! It was really funny because he wouldn't like,, get over the fact we called him one, so we eventually stopped. Then Jade's mom came home and, with a straight face, "You guys are all simps, what do you mean?" LIKE PLS we all bursted out laughing.

People tend to argue over some of the silliest things because people have different strong opinions about what they think is right. For example, me and my dad argue all of the time what is good on pizza and what isn't, this is a silly argument because it all depends on what each one of us like on our own, neither of us are right or wrong in our opinions they are just different.

People like to argue about stupid things because the subject usually has to do more about the principle of the argument than why or what someone is arguing about. I once had this happen to me as I got in an argument with on of my brothers on why he should hang his bag on a wallhook that we had instead of leaving on the floor. My point was that he was to lazy to even try or attempt to hang the bag on the wall. If I had hung the bag for him, it would have reflected onto him that he could just leave his stuff lying around and just expect someone else to make it their problem.

Something that a lot of people tend to do is argue over silly little things. I think this happens for a couple different reasons. The first reason is jealousy. Some people find themselves very jealous over little things that other people have or do and they get in arguments with that person over it. Another reason is some people will not allow them being told any different because either they are very confident about it or they just can not be told "no that is not right." An example, me and my sister argue all the time about who is going to clean the living room that SHE destroyed, but we don't have to talk about that. But anyway, she is the type that refuses to listen to anyone else cause she's always right, apparently. The way I see it, especially in little situations with my so grown 8 year old sister who knows everything is, I didn't make the mess therefore I will not be the only one cleaning it up. We have different opinions on who does the cleaning around the house even though everyone knows it was all her.

There are multiple reasons for which people argue over silly things. There can often be underlying conflicts between the people arguing but one small, insignificant or silly action can give an opportunity to actually argue. Other reasons include a need to prove something to someone, to right a wrong doing done to them, or to release built up anger that has been caused by something completely different. My sister and I have gotten into really long arguments because I moved something in her car. She had been annoyed about other things but took it out on me. I then felt the need to prove to her that she was being ridiculous so we both continued to be really mad with each other.

People like to argue over simple things do to the fact this people tend to have a strong opinion over something and usually is so stubborn that they believe that there opinion is always right and never wrong causing such silly arguments. One of my arguments i have been in is when me and my brother would fight over who would seat in the front seat and after about 20 minutes of straight arguing we decided that one of us will seat in the front on the way there and the other would seat up front on the way back.

I think people argue over silly things because of a variety of reasons. One reason is that person's ego. Sometimes people keep the argument going because they think they are never wrong. Another reason could be that they are jealous of you or the person they are arguing with. My dad and I got into an argument a few weeks ago over a text he sent me of his order for Arby's. He sent me what he wanted, but it was worded in a weird way, so I accidentally ordered the wrong thing. When I got home, we started arguing over what the text said and what food I was supposed to order for him. We are a lot alike, so the argument carried on for a while.

I believe that people argue over silly things because they think that they are the biggest and best person in the world, and because they have anger issues and want to always be right about everything. My silly argument moment was when the whole trend going around about the "what color is the dress" and "what color is the shoes." Me and my brother probably fought for a good 30 minutes about how he saw pink and white and I saw teal and grey on those shoes. We went on and on and asked almost everyone we knew what color the shoes were. We kept arguing and arguing trying to find proof that the shoes were our color. Till we both finally agreed that he's stupid and I'm always right. Then we went and got Chic-Fil-A.

I think people argue over silly things for a lot of different reasons. The main reason being that the 2 people genuinely both think they are right and the other person is wrong. There are some people that do it for validation and attention but overall a silly argument cant be one sided and takes two people who both believe they are right. My mom and I argue almost everyday over things that have absolutely no importance. Most the time its because she thinks that she told me to go get her a drink when in reality she hasn't said anything in the past hour and shes just been sitting there on her phone. She argues because she always thinks shes right and I argue back cause I know im right.

To me there is a variety of reasons why people argue over silly things (depending on who they are) it can be the desire to be right, the thrill of conflict, childish personality, multiple reasons really. When my brother and I were younger we would always argue over every little thing, which because of us being little we eventually got over being angry and forgot the reasoning for the argument in the first place. (luckily now that hes we do not fight)

I think people argue over silly things because everyone wants to be right. We cannot stand it when we are wrong. Me and my cousin used to argue over everything. We would also get mad at each other and forget it by the next day.

I think people argue over silly things because they know they don't have to have a lot of evidence to back up the side they are arguing for. If neither person knows a lot about the "silly" subject, no one can really say who is right and who is wrong. For example, my brother and I argued over how many pages were in a book we had both only read once. We were on a long trip and had no phone service, so we argued about it until one of us was able to look up the correct answer (it turns out he was right).
