If you were able to choose one of the three space rocks to travel on, which one would you choose and why? Include a unique characteristic of that space rock in your answer.

Write your answer in the appropriate column (you only need to choose ONE column to type in). Your FIRST & LAST name should be the "title" and your response should go where it says "write something..."

It revolves around the sun, in the asteroid belt, and it would be cool to see all of the other asteroids. Although more than 50,000 have been discovered, you can't see the asteroids from earth, so it would be cool to see it up close, since you can't see it without a telescope. I wouldn't burn up, and I might be able to see both the inner and outer planets since the asteroid belt is located in between them.

This way, I could see many parts of the solar system all at once, like the Kuiper belt, the planets all along the solar system, the asteroid belt, meteoroids, and the sun along with many other space objects. I would also be able to learn more about the tails of comets which are made of a comet's ice which was turned into gas due to the heat from the heat from the sun as well as ions. This way, I could also learn about how a tail of a comet always moves away from the sun.

They can be very close to the sun or they can be past our solar system, depending on which stage of their orbit they are in. If I were to travel on a comet, I would be able to see how it feels to close to the sun and and see past the solar system, where no one has ever been before. Unlike the other space rocks, Comets have a very small chance of hitting other celestial objects. So I would be pretty safe as long as I didn't get pulled into the coma.

The orbit is important because comets have very long, elliptical orbits that drastically change its temperature. Asteroid orbit the sun in the asteroid belt, which would make it a good temperature. And, unlike meteors, asteroids don't have a large chance of hitting a planet. This is important because if it were to happen, I would die. Asteroids are also left over from the creation of the solar system, so it would be interesting to see what it is made of.

Some Meteoroids are as old as the universe this is why I would examine the meteoroid to see our past they are also scattered throughout the universe so I could jump on other meteoroids to go to different star systems like the alpha centuri planet system which has an habitable planet. I would want to see if the Goldilocks zone in the star system contained life

I would like to travel on a comet because most meteors end up crashing into something like a celestial body or the sun. I would not really like to ride on an asteroid because it would be very cold and I would not be able to see anything other than Mars and Jupiter. As a comet, I would go around the entire Solar System without crashing into anything and being able to see a lot of the Solar System. Comets are huge and can be larger than asteroids. Also, in an asteroid, it would be very cold. In a meteor, I would sometimes get close to the sun and the ice would warm into a gas, which would provide proper heating.

Meher Brar
I would choose to ride an asteroid because they are the most similar to a planet. The pull of Jupiter's gravity prevented ths material from coming together to from a planet.. Most asteroids orbit the Sun in the asteroid belt, which is between Mars and Jupiter, so I would be able to see those two planets. I might also be able to see moons because some asteroids have moons. I might hit the Earth because the gravity of other planets could throw off the orbit of my asteroid, causing me to hurtle into space. Lastly, I could also see other asteroids in the asteroid belt.

I rather ride on a comet because there is a lower chance of going crashing at Earth. Even though it's cold because of the ice layer, it eventually melt into gas as it gets close to the sun. I searched up the average size of a comet and it was about 50,000 miles wide.

The two different kind of tails on a comet, the dust tail and the ion tail would be interesting to observe because they are very bright and they can be very long.
