"Fa la la" in Madrigal Style was first found when the Madrigal style was new and exciting.  When a song had "fa la la" in it, it was typically about two people falling in love.  This marked the first time where music was not strictly religious.
It was also the first time where there was four part harmony!
In the performance we found, it definitely has a more upbeat and bouncy sound than we have interpreted it!
Additionally, they seem to all have decided clearly how they want their vowels to sound.
