The business front would be online, but I myself would be a <strong>teaching advisor/ specialist/consultant</strong>, contracted to educational facilities.  <br>I have exp. in working as a sole-trader contract music teaching to schools. I have degrees in music and media.<br>I think the business has <strong>future growth potential</strong> given the nature of the online world. New media becomes available quickly, so teachers and users need constant skill upgrading. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>the webpage is <strong>targeted at the user-level</strong>, however the <strong>professional training side (me) would target teachers</strong> and professionals who want to develop their skills in using online media in their teaching. I would therefore be selling to <strong>schools, universities</strong> and other <strong>educational facilities</strong>, as well as cooperating and partnering with <strong>media programs, governmental organisations, and NGOs</strong> to train and develop skills in education sector. I think this would have great potential in adult education, made even more relevant with the '<strong>ageing population' </strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am not so adept in <strong>webpage management/creation</strong>, so I would need either partnership or to employ someone who can develop the online component. This would require continual management of the webpage with regular bug-fixes, updates, and new material being developed. The ultimate solution would be in finding a reliable business partner who can manage the website and application functionality.<br><br>For the advisory side, I would need to travel a lot to education centres; in the long term it would be cheaper to have a <strong>company car</strong> rather than renting all the time. I won't need premises to start with. But a powerful <strong>computer with online database access</strong> is essential. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The <strong>product is two-fold</strong>: <br>- the <strong>webpage</strong> offers exercises in using online media tools to create writing pieces of the user's own invention. There will be different difficulty levels and styles of creation from poetry/lyrics to short story/novella with assisted steps and tools along the way. It could also be offered that I critique the work and offer feedback as an extra service. <br>- the <strong>other service</strong> is more based on my own abilities: I would be <strong>advisory specialist</strong> offering <strong>in-person training for media skill development</strong>. Here I am quite flexible: the training can be in developing programs for media analysis, critical thinking, ICT, or online education. I would use the designed web application to train and practise with educators. <br>My <strong>customers</strong> therefore would be: <strong>schools, adult education centres, universities, teacher training programs. </strong><br>There is a possibility for individuals to access the page and use it (perhaps for a cost), however I anticipate the majority of the client base being the training professionals and their students. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think the webpage is the most important part of the business: if anyone wants to know about me, or how I train/use media tools, they will go straight to the website. For that reason, I would have to ensure the functionality of the website at all times. <br>Getting word to the educational facilities would best be done through direct contact to principals and educational industry staff. <br>Keeping clients active in the application could be done with upselling of subscriptions, but this would require leveling of application difficulties, and constantly adding new material and applications. <br>Perhaps an assistance program to members would also prove useful - like a rewards system.<em><mark><br></mark></em>- paid advertising on popular education websites<br>- booths at edu./entrep. conferences<br>- free trials for prospective clients</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>there are other online tools already, and other companies with similar products. <br>- here's a good example: <br><a href="http://www.aswegrow.org/">http://www.aswegrow.org/</a><br>some other companies are focussing on essay/writing assistance, like:<br><a href="https://darwinessay.net/">https://darwinessay.net/</a><br>I think what differentiates me is using the creative writing side and critical media skills which gives the educators a link to their students and most curricula.&nbsp;<br>The disadvantages are that I have to grab my clients by first glimpse of the website... that's tough! I also have to ensure the functionality of the web-based applications at all times. Also tricky!<br>Starting out small, it's going to be difficult to maintain 24 hour web status, but the bigger the company gets, the more staff available for webpage upkeep. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>unfortunately, I have no personal collateral to use towards starting the business. <br>I'd need to take out a <strong>loan</strong> for purchasing a decent computer, car, and pay someone to set up the webpage. Alternatively, I could find a partner who can handle the tech side. <br>It may be possible to get <strong>grant funding</strong>, or educational program funding.<br>Later, I could even secure programs funded by government, but this probably isn't to start with. </div>]]></description>
