Objective: To teach children about the importance of saving and managing a budget.

Counterfeit coins and notes will be distributed to children.

Children must decide what products they want to buy with their limited budget.

Items that you can find in a supermarket, with their prices, will be glued around the yard and can be thrown into your shopping bag.

After buying, they should explain why they chose those products and how they handled their budget.

Game "Truth or False":

The teacher makes some affirmations about advertising.

Children should stand up if they believe the statement is true and sit down if they think it is false.

A presentation explaining the influence of advertising will be displayed. Advertising and marketing concepts will be given and as these aim to persuade consumers to buy products or services.

It will show examples, different media.

We will discuss the tactics used, such as the use of celebrities, sticky slogans, bright colors, special offers, etc.

And students will be asked how they feel when they see these ads and if they’ve bought something because of the influence of an ad.

Then by groups, they will be given examples of ads and the kids will answer the following questions.

• What is the main message of the announcement?

• What persuasion tactics are used? (e.g. fear, humor, aspiration, etc.)

• Which visual or textual elements attract the most attention?

• Is the ad honest or misleading? Why?
