Martin Luther King was an advocate to everyone he helped. Both people, Moses and Martin Luther King Jr., led their people for justice. Both as well, Martin Luther King Jr. and Moses, have "been to the Mountaintop" and "seen the Promise Land." This is exactly how Moses was on the Mountaintop with God. But, they did not get to either places with their followers. Martin Luther King Jr. helped change the Jim Crow law, "Separate but Equal." Moses preached to his followers that the Messiah is coming soon and Martin Luther King Jr. preached to his people that one day everyone will have the freedom that's always been credited to them. Both had hoped that something good will happen to them and their followers soon to turn around the world.

He brought them hope and a chance of freedom, as well as sparking their desire for freedom. Both Moses and Martin Luther King Jr. "have been to the mountain top." Also, they saw the promised land, but did not make it there. MLK was assassinated the day after his "I've been to the mountain top" speech. The King then gave up and told the israelites to leave. So Moses lead them through the red sea.
