In a series of photographs made over eight years, Julian Germain captured the quiet, contemplative existence of an old man living alone in a small house in a city on the south coast of England.

It's always something special with grandma and grandpa. But many people don't know this feeling of "grandma and grandpa" at all , their grandparents live far away, died early or don't have time to spend with their grandchildren and the family. On the other hand, there are many older people who have always wanted grandchildren and don't have them for a variety of reasons. 

The “wish grandmas and dream grandpas” are a solution for this. In Mühldorf am Inn in Upper Bavaria, the “House for Encounters” places grandmas and grandpas with families who want them. 

For most of the people, it might seem fun but for many it is a challenge/difficult come through.

It also helps people to step into others shoes (i.e., discomfort) and help make empathetic connections.

This artwork helps raise awareness about the disease and how it actually feels to be suffering from Parkinson and at the same time reduce the stigma associated to it.

Good news: This definitely brings more challenges and creative possibilities to art and design.
