This is important because I will know the requirements of what we are allowed to do for creating a music video and make sure I don't fail the unit. I then went onto recording a Vox Pop to get a general audience's opinion on music videos. Asking random strangers will help contribute to the task because we will know people who might not have listened to music videos or big music fans, having a range of people helps get opinions on the subject and can give us valuable feedback. Some of the responses we got were helpful as some thought music videos were dying out because people just mainly listen to music in the background and not watch the video. Also people mentioned that the song and appearance made the music videos so iconic. Some of the names mentioned were Elvis Presley and Ed Sheeran they thought their lyrics made them iconic and how they were very hyped up artists. However, we did get some poor responses and inappropriate as one person who answered said they watched porn videos. This wasted our time on getting other peoples answers who would have been serious. From today's lesson I learnt how and why music videos are iconic. One example from this task is Eminem having an iconic video. This was iconic because Eminem created a different style of music to other artists.I also learnt about making a controversial video will make sometimes make the video more popular as people with have different opinions on the video. So more videos were eventually made to gain more viewers and discussion about their video. I made sure I had my topics for my report such as fashion, shot types, editing and the world affairs. Also I started on my pitch for what I want my music video to be. I researched into other music video to see what ideas I could get from them. I figured out the idea I wanted to do was more of a dancing music video which was energetic and fun to watch. I also learnt about the history and the world affairs at the time of my music video choices. 
The problems I came across when doing this task was that I couldn't find out some of the world affairs at the time. I had to solve these problems by researching what was going on at the time. A problem I came across for pitch was thinking of a music video to choose. I came across this problem by looking through music videos and seeing which ones I thought were enjoyable and would be fun to create an idea for.
