Amidst the sweltering sun rays and the freedom from school, I still continued to make summer a learning opportunity. My short, three months of heat was filled with laughter, crying, and yelling; the first two coming from the kids I had watched and the last from me. Basically, I had spent my summer teaching a 3 year old cowboy how to say tractor and thistle correctly and not "tractler" and "pissle" and being told by a 5 year old diva to "stop talking and go get me some yogurt". Through this I was able to observe the impact that the world they are exposed to influences the kids and their behavior.
