Hier wirken die Patenschaftszahnärzt*innen, Prophylaxehelferinnen der Regionalen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Zahngesundheit und der Öffentliche Gesundheitsdienst eng zusammen.
Aus Sicht des Sozialministeriums gehört die Betreuung der Kindertageseinrichtungen in die Hände von Vertragszahnärzt*innen / Patenzahnärzt*innen.
In der neuen Konzeption der Jugendzahnpflege fordert das Sozialministerium eine weitere Einbindung von Patenzahnärzt*innen. Dabei wird betont, dass die flächendeckende Betreuung aller Kindertageseinrichtungen nur noch durch Vertragszahnärzt*innen/ Patenzahnärzt*innen zu gewährleisten ist.
