Today I learned about how much of an impact teachers have on their students. When a teacher is passionate about math, their students are more likely to fall in love with math instead of resenting it. It is my job as a future educator to believe in my students so they will soon believe in themselves

Today I learned about the many misconceptions that people have regarding the Common Core. However, it is important to understand that the Common core actually teaches students to use multiple methods to solve problems instead of just relying on one. It also includes tests because of the No Child Left Behind Act. The Common Core is just in place to make sure every student no matter where they live is learning the same things. It is not something that keep teachers unable to be creative in the classroom.
