I really appreciated all the help I got from the tutor. When I got the help I needed, I really felt like a matador for the first time. I felt proud to be attending CSUN, because CSUN is not just a school where you are on your own. But in reality it is a school that cares about your success, and offers the help you need.

We started talking after playing a couple of pickup games and it turns out that we were rival high schools and were familiar with each others high schools. After meeting him at the gym, I happen to see him on the following Monday in one of my classes. It turns out that both of us had the same class but we never had noticed each other. We plan on going to the gym to play basketball again.

I've gotten my essay reviewed about 3-4 times now and I keep getting compliments on my essay. Just as well as constructive criticism which has helped my essay get better and better each time. I really like the process of reading someone else's essay because I know by my comments and changes, I am helping someone else also write a good essay as well. This shows me that my professors care about our progress.

The tutor was for math and they were extremely helpful. I felt like a matador because i was on campus and getting helped for my academics.

I met our AS President Bev. through a mutual friend of ours and we exchange contact information. It was later on when she invited me to her office and we were able to begin discussing what I wanted to be apart of and she gave me her own personal resources to go out sand do just that. She has continuously sent resources and connections my way to help build my network and to prepare me. For her to take time out her busy schedule to lend a helping to me, who was a nobody at the time, showed me the true Matador family spirit. That day I knew if I needed help, all I had to do was ask.

I asked a person before her but did not get it at all and she broke it down for me and I fully now understand it. But I always go in there when I need help and talk to the same tutor about how finals and midterms are so stressful. And she's a junior and that's when I felt like a matador.

I felt happy and helpful because I got to help my new college friend even when I almost got to class late. But my math squad and I had lots of laughs and fun with his camera for a couples of minutes. It was a special moment for me.
