         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree with Carol &amp; Liz, we set the conditions from which learners become engaged. Connecting to interests/passions and what they care about is important. In addition, giving choices and a voice in what they are learning helps create the conditions that engage learners.&nbsp;<br>I think a big condition we need to provide is "meeting learners where they are at in their learning". That helps address the need for self-efficacy. We need to feel like we CAN learn what is being taught. </div>]]></description>
