Richard Hamilton art, Self-Portrait (1967) is a Pop Art work that looks like a Time magazine cover. Using bright, unnatural colors and a casual cigarette, Hamilton mixes irony and media imagery to question fame, identity, and how people are turned into products by the media. The piece suggests that identity is not entirely real or natural but shaped by images, power, and recognition. In the end, it’s not only about Hamilton but about all of us , how we present ourselves and how society sees us.

Chloe and Sol

This mural was painted in Boston’s Chinatown, in a low-income area. That location matters a lot. Many people who live there face obstacles like poverty, unemployment, and social inequality — things that can make dreams hard or even impossible to achieve. Banksy is criticizing the myth of the American Dream — the idea that anyone can succeed if they try hard enough. But in reality, many people, especially from poor communities, can’t “follow their dreams” because of things like illness, money, or where they were born.

By: Josefina And Luisa
