As I mentioned before, as a digital immigrant, I tend to be a more single-task teacher. Not to mention the limited resource, as technology was not part of my studying process. I have learned that classes are supposed to be teacher-centered, teachers were supposed to control the information… What nowadays it is known to be not that effective nor motivating. Digital Natives demand speed, multi-task, real-life situations, and besides all that, the class must be relevant and fun to them. To not drive myself to this mistake, the SMAR has been an important tool, showing the steps and levels that are not that natural to me: a digital immigrant teacher, teaching digital native students. The goal of SMAR is to have digital technology collaborating with the learning and teaching process. Analyzing and knowing about:

• Substitution is the superficial change most of us believe is using technology in class.
• Augmentation that is offering effective technology tools to perform common tasks
• Modification is the real first step of transforming traditional to technological 
• Redefinition is the last level, in which technology is really implemented and integrated.
