Psychologist Renata Baltrimienė introduced the topic: Teacher burnout, overcoming it. Possibilities of using therapies” (possibilities of the Erasmus+ project “Boost yourself”.

City psychologists shared their ideas and experiences about burnout-management methods such us: Art Therapy, Guided Imagery, Transcendental Meditation, Canistherapy and Mindfulness. 

Most of the participants agreed that raising awareness about the issue and how to deal with it, presenting various methods how to reduce anxiety and the level of burnout would be a great contribution to a healthier and happier life of teachers and students.

At the invitation of the West Pomeranian curator, at the information meeting of the Regional Information Point - Education Board in Szczecin, our teachers Malgorzata Brasseaux and Jolanta Świerszczko presented the best practices of the Erasmus+ program in the Boost Yourself project on a speaker panel and shared the results and experiences of implementing educational projects. Thank you for taking part and congratulations on their passion in the field of education.

The description and aims of the project "Boost Yourself" are publicized in the school website so that all the community was aware of the project.

Last time this day „Starfsþróunardagur starfsfólks framhaldskóla“  was held was on the 4th of March 2023. As our project “Boost Yourself” was getting to an end and most of the output more or less ready we wanted to show all our fellow teachers in Iceland how to find information about it and how to use it for themselves or their students. We were lucky to get time slots to introduce our project Boozt Yourself to various subject groups. By doing that we were able to reach at least one or more teacher in every secondary school in Iceland and show them our website, the Minecraft Wellness Center and talk about our experience and the impact this much needed project has had on all of us participants.

This year marks 30 years since the signing of the European Economic Area (EEA) agreement, granting Iceland access to the European Union's internal market and increased opportunities for cooperation in Europe.

In celebration of these milestones, Rannís, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Industry, and Innovation, and the European Union Delegation to Iceland were hosting two events on Wednesday, May 8th. On one hand, there was a conference titled "EEA at 30 Years - Benefits, Opportunities, Challenges," and on the other hand, the European Projects Harvest Festival: 30 Years of European Cooperation.

The European Projects Harvest Festival was held at Kolaportið from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on May 8th. Icelanders have been active participants in European cooperation for the past 30 years, and the festival celebrated their achievements. Guests had the opportunity to learn about many projects that have received funding from EU cooperation programs. The festival was opened by the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, and there were music performances, birthday cake, coffee, and juice for children.

The projects participating come from all sectors of society, as Icelandic entities have received support from EU plans in education, filmmaking, youth affairs, research, innovation, and more. International coordinators Ingibjörg Rögnvaldsdóttir and Ásgerður Sveinsdóttir from Technical College introduced the Boost Yourself Erasmus+ project to the Festival participants. The guests showed great interest in the project activities, and their presentation was highly popular.

The 30th anniversary of European Cooperation was a true harvest festival for Icelandic society, and over two hundred people of all ages attended it, learned and celebrated together.
