You then follow the dog’s owner on a tale of what happens after that. The dog must go to the apple tree to get apples to make more juice. He gets distracted with throwing the apple. He wants to play baseball and then make a kite. By the end of the story, he asks for more apple juice again. Then they start back at square one because he wants a donut to go with his apple juice.

He starts out by wanting a cookie and some milk. We can see that he has a long day about to start as he ramps up for the next thing he needs. The illustration is perfect for grabbing children’s attention. He then goes through the day. We watch as he cleans the house, colors a picture, has a book read to him, and by the end of the book he asks for another glass of milk. What did he want to go with it? Of course, a cookie to go with his milk.

You go through the book seeing all the things grandmas do for you. You see that grandmas spend time with you by showing you photos, taking you on picnics, and helping you fly kites. Grandmas take care of you by giving you a bath and singing you a lullaby. At the end of the book, it says that the thing that grandmas do best is giving you love. It shows kids that love is the most important thing you can receive.

She dances all the time, anywhere she can. At the beginning of this book, Emily is on her way to her first dance class. Many of her classmates are not as excited as Emily is. Emily thought she was going to get to dress like a princess but for their first recital, they are going to be bugs. She also doesn’t think her classmates have anything in common. They begin dancing and knocking into each other. Many classes are awful and she ends up telling her mom that she didn’t like the dance class so her mom takes her shopping for new dance clothes. She ends up bonding with her friends over sharing jellybeans. They decided to call themselves the dancing jelly beans. They all end up working together in order to make the recital fun.

He says he is trained by Sam until he is old enough for a training school. He likes to wear his service dog yellow vest. He liked puppy kindergarten and is friends with all the dogs there. He likes to learn new commands. He gets distracted by the squirrels and is impressed by dogs who do not get distracted. He has to practice not being distracted. He likes that he can go all the places most dogs are not allowed. He loves to go to the movies with his owner. He listens to his owner read out loud and then they both brush their teeth. He is so excited to be able to help people and considers himself a hero.

7. Before she made it as a writer, she did odd jobs like an attendant for a merry-go-round and doing personal investigation work.
8. She wants to eventually write screenplay and adult fiction.
9. She originally went to college for fashion design and changed her major after her first year.

I think her books appeal to all children and the illustrators she has chosen for each book or series of books is perfect.
