Dvd's have been affected by online streaming because Netflix, Stan and Amazon all have quick and easy ways to stream shows directly into your home or business. Dvds are becoming less and less popular because of quicker steaming services. Dvds have been negatively impacted since the onset businesses like Netflix and Stan which has caused them to close due to poor sales. This is a lot quicker than going to the shop and buying dvds.

DVD sales have been affected by online streaming companies such as Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime. These companies supply Movies and TV shows quicker than going out to a DVD store and choosing which DVD to buy. The demand for online streaming has increased, so the demand for DVDs has decreased. Prices on DVD's may drop in order to get more demand. DVD stores have enough supply but not enough customers. Recently some DVD store have shut down due to the lack of money they are getting. n order to own a relatively good DVD store you need enough supply and demand, but as Netflix and other online streaming companies are taking quite a lot of that demand not many DVD store are very successful.

These companies are affecting the sales of DVDs by selling a monthly or annual membership for unlimited streaming of movies or shows for a cheaper price than a single DVD.
The average price:
- DVD- $20.00
-Streaming membership- $5.00
The fall of DVDs have just started soon DVDs will not exist.
Before that happens the sales of DVDs will fall rapidly and the stocks will be very high

Many buisnesses have been taken down because of this including blockbuster, wich was in a good position next to Donimo's to get some tasty cheesy pizza for a movie night, and then rent out the movie to watch wich has now been replaced by penny wise's wich has nothing to do with Donimoe's. the demand has gone down for dvd's because it is un usefull clutter as well.

Netflix and Amazon have had a large negative impact on the DVD economy. These apps have taken away from the stores because they stream movies for a lot less money or for free. Not only are the movies much cheaper than real DVD’s, but they are accessible at all times and have a huge variety. With disks, you need a TV, DVD player, and you may not be able to buy the movie you want. Physical DVD sales have declined massively over the past two years meaning hundreds of shops have gone bankrupt. In America, over 1,425,030 US dollars were lost due to the huge increase in Netflix and Amazon viewers. Not only this, but with online streaming there is no worry about returning your rented DVD on time. The demand for online movies has gone up, leaving people all over the world with no business.

I believe that the DVD market has been negatively affected by online streaming because of the convenience of buying a movie off STAN, amazon prime or Netflix compared to going to a shop and hiring a DVD that you have to return is a lot easier to do. People don't want to have to go into shops and take up lots of time and effort when they can just click online and keep the movie for a small price unlike DVD's. DVD's can end up costing you a lot more than just the hire price if you scratch the DVD and have to replace it or forget to return it by its due date and get charged a late fee.

I think DVD's are not being bought anymore because Netflix has more movies you can watch and there is unlimited movies for only $12-$15 a month, and if you buy DVD's they are around $20-$30 (even if you hire them) and you only get one movie from it :( . Not to mention DVD's are easy to break, scratch, etc. If you scratch a DVD you will have to pay even more money which is not good. Netflix also has its ups-and downs because you have to pay more money for more than two people watching on the same Netflix account, the reason this is bad is because you could get hacked and someone will use your account and what happened to me was me and my brother wanted to watch a different movie so I would go on my Ipad and I found out the I had gotten hacked so we had to kick everybody of and change the password. Netflix is way better and it is a way to save money and watch unlimited movies with two people max ( which fits perfectly unless you don't have two kids in your family).

Supply is defined in economics as the total amount of a good or service that is available to consumers. Demand refers to how much of a product or service in by desired by consumers. The article shows the demand for DVD'S has significantly reduced. This could have been price dependent with online prices cheaper, or simply a result of convenience with click and play much easier than physically purchasing. Or the problem of not having a DVD player and not being able to physically purchase any type of movie or video. Also if people didn't buy a movie they could lone singular or multiple from a local video shop but they would have to take the movie back after a certain period of time. But Netflix takes pride of all those disadvantages as the movies can not get scratched or broken although You must have good internet speed for the movie to work. I conclude that Netflix is much better and easier to use then going to all the trouble and buying a movie.

Why get out of the comfort of your own home to go and get a movie from the rental store when you could download Netflix and have a wide variety of movies and TV shows for just $11 a month? This is the question that we are all asking ourselves. The movie rental stores have disappeared noticeably in our city's. This is because no one wants to rent a movie for $7.99 a night when they can subscribe to Stan for just $9 a month. Even though these platforms are around, many people still buy the "good old" DVD for gifts.

DVD sales have been steadily decreasing over the past few years due to the new online streaming services such as Netflix, and supply and demand.
Say you wanted to get some certain shows for a certain amount of time. Buying heaps of DVDs is way more expensive than just buying Netflix for 1 to 2 months and watching them that way. More and more people are switching to online streaming when they are updating their audio-visual system because they no longer need a DVD player.
Another reason Netflix is popular is because not only does it bypass the DVD cost, it bypasses Cinema cost too! Take the new Will Smith movie, Bright.
Instead of going to Cinemas and buying who knows how many tickets for outrageous prices, you can watch the new release from the comfort of your own home!
DVD sales have been going down, but they still have their place! They don't use Internet (good for rural areas with slow Internet), they're easy to use (older-person user-friendly), and make great gifts for everyone!
In short, DVD sales may have been going down for numerous reasons, but they still have their place in the market.

Because of the convenience of online streaming there is less of a demand for DVD's . Netflix unlike DVD's is a way more fast and officiant way to watch movies and TV shows . I think this because with Netflix there are no over due DVD fees to worry about and unlike DVD's you do not have to pay up to two hundred dollars just for a decent DVD's player. Netflix is also more cost effective because for the price of three DVD's you can have unlimited access to hundreds of movies for months at a time. Netflix is also easy to operate and is available pretty much any were any time unlike DVD shops that are only open for a certain amount of time each day.

After the release of many online streaming services such as Netflix, Stan & Prime DVD rates have significantly suffered, in-fact dvd sales have dropped around 23% in the last year. This also increases the opportunity for illegal streaming services eg. 123movies to benefit from this. It's a lot easier to open your computer and stream movies that haven't even aired in cinemas yet, for free than to go to a dvd store such as blockbuster and go through the pain. But some people do pefer to personally shop for movies in the store, as an old feel.

lieve that DVD prices are going down because there is not much demand for DVDS at the moment because so many people prefer Netflix. why ? it is convenient easy to access and it does not cost too much for the 100

DVD sales have been decreasing in the past few years due to the convenience of subscribing to a company like Netflix, Stan ans Amazon Prime or simply just buying a movie online. Now that there are more and more people using technology such as iPads, Computers and iPhones the DVD companies like Blu-Ray are having troubles selling their DVDs because the streaming companies have "taken over". I believe that the demand for DVDs would be quite low at the moment due to the fact that the sales have gone down by 23%. I also think the supply could be quite high because not many people want to buy them but the companies keep making/ordering them. If the sales for DVDs don't increase dramatically in next few decades I think the companies would be closed down and we will lose the old fashioned DVD. I really hope this doesn't happen because I like using DVDs. If the DVD companies supply doesn't meet the demand I believe the companies should lower the price to increase the demand of DVDs. Streaming companies are making a very negative impact on the decrease of DVD sales. To subscribe to Netflix is just $11 a month. So I think it is alot more efficient to just subscribe to a streaming company than just buying DVD.
