After successes in national championships, Yip participated in the Asia Paralympics Swimming Championship 2005, winning two gold medals. Her first international competition was the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games 2005, where she won two gold medals and a bronze. She then received four gold medals at the DSE Long Course Swimming Championships in 2006. In 2007, she won three gold medals at the Japan Paralympic Swimming Championships and four gold medals at the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games.
Most recently, Yip participated in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics She won two gold medals, the women's 100m backstroke S2 and the women's 50m backstroke S2. This proves that even if you are held back if you keep trying hard enough, you are able to achieve anything.

Hard earned can be defined as achieving one’s goal after putting in a lot of effort.

While working hard may not bring you success every time, achieving hard-earned success certainly brings more meaning to the achievement and adds to one’s self satisfaction, confidence and self esteem.

On the other hand, you tend to value hard earned success more because you have sacrificed so much for it. Be it your time, your wealth, or your health. It feels so good to know that all your effort has been worth it.

Hard work is the key to both success and self-satisfaction. When we do hard work, we can achieve our goals, which leads to self-satisfaction. We must always remember that positivity and motivation come from hard work. When you work hard, you come one step closer to your dreams, and that gives you positivity.

He was almost completely deaf when he was 44 or 45, by 1814. This hearing problem did not stop him from playing the piano nor did it stopped him from composing music. Instead, it motivated him. For example, he composed Symphony No. 9 and Missa solemnis when his hearing was at its worst. In fact, he composed most of his renowned compositions after age 28, in 1798, i.e. after his hearing difficulties started.
