Multiple Intelligence Test - Question 2

My highest scores were "Intrapersonal Intelligence" 80%, "Interpersonal Intelligence" 77%, and "Musical Intelligence" at 60%.

My highest type of intelligence was intrapersonal intelligence. This wasn't a shock to me because this sounds exactly like me. No one understands me more than me. I understand my feelings and thoughts and choices. Every decision I make. For example I more than anything enjoy spending time alone. That is the one time I get to reflect and process my day. My favorite thing to do after a long day of work or school or even just being with friends Is to hangout by myself in my room and just reflect. It sounds like i'm "depressed" or "lonely" but i'm not that is just truly what brings me joy.

Chapters 8&9 - Question 3

The best piece of information I've read from chapters 8 and 9 is about eating disorders on page 240. Growing up i've always hated the way I looked starting at the age of 10 all the way up to now at 20. At the age of 16 I really struggled badly and did harmful and unhealthy ways to finally love myself and feel comfortable in my own body. So for 4 years I was constantly hurting myself without realizing it. I guarantee you that if I knew how harmful this actually was to my body I wouldn't have done it. The information in this chapter are very important for young adolescents to know. I could talk about this all day everyday. I can't stress it enough how important it is especially for young kids who already deal with the constant need and pressure to look a certain way in this society.

My highest score was the "Social Occupational Interest" while this could be true it came as a huge shock to me as I hate being social and I can be a very awkward person when I am. But I think when it comes to work I have no choice but to be social especially my job where im constantly interacting with patients and teaching them stuff so this fits my job description very well.

My highest scores were "Investigative" at 8, "Conventional" at 7, and "Social" at 5. One thing I've noticed taking these tests is that I like the social aspect of everything when it comes to helping people and getting jobs. I like interacting with patients which is weird seeing I'm not a social person when it comes to family and friends. I see myself being investigative as I like to investigate and solve stuff. Some of my favorite things to watch on TV as well are investigative shows that involve detectives and FBIs. That stuff is very interesting to me. Being conventional also made sense considering I'm an ordinary, basic person. Id say this test was very similar to the first test.

Career Path - Question 5

The career path I'm heading towards is Diagnostic medical sonography in other words ultrasound technician. Ive always loved the idea of pursuing a degree in the medical field but something that didn't involve needles as I hate them with a passion and can never get over that fear so I chose the path of being an ultrasound tech. I decided on this path when one day I had to go in for an ultrasound when I had stomach problems and I really loved everything about it how less chaotic it was compared to other medical fields. The pay isn't bad especially as a travel sonographer which is what I want to hopefully do one day. This sits at an average of $80,000. A sonographer uses imaging equipment and sound waves to form images of many parts of the body. You could acquire this career path by either obtaining an associates degree or bachelors which is what im doing. After finishing either degree you then take a board exam to pass and obtain your license as an ultrasound technician. Above is the link I used for most of the information above.

Ideal life stage - Question 6

The most ideal life stage from the stages we learned throughout the chapter would definitely be "emerging adulthood". While all stages of life are hard and you are going through something or dealing with something through all stages the emerging adulthood is the most ideal. I say this because this is the time you are growing and changing for the better. You are becoming independent in many ways by moving out, finding the love of your life, going to college, getting married. This is the life stage where many milestones happen. You are growing and changing a lot. While it can be very hard because you also lose a lot of people you love and have to deal with adulting it could all be very rewarding in the end. Your brain is also finishing up developing in those first years of emerging adulthood. You learn and grow a lot I've seen it happen with myself. Im only 20 and just in the past 2-3 years I've seen so much change happen in my life. The good the bad but also a lot of rewarding stuff as well, that'll only make me a better person and shape me for the future. The ages 18-29 isn't easy. You lose friends, you make mistakes, you fall, you fail, you realize things, you hit reality, you lose yourself, you go through different phases of insecurity, loneliness, and frustration, you go through heartbreaks. But all this teaches you lessons in the end and prepare you for real life.

Chapters throughout the course - Question 7

The most interesting chapters I found throughout this course were chapters 10 and 14. Chapter 10 was all about constructing an adult life. I found this interesting because I am currently in that stage of becoming an actual adult and finding love for myself and graduating college and all that fun stuff so the best section in this chapter to me was "Finding Love" on page 296. This gave me a clear insight on love at my age. Things to expect, ways to improve myself and what to find in a man when looking for relationships. Chapter 14 talked about the physical challenges of aging. I loved learning about this because as Ive mentioned before I work at a physical therapy and most of the patients I see are ages 50 and up. When reading and learning this chapter all I could think about was them and it taught me so much more about them. I realized there's so much more too aging than we think. All the information starts on page 394.

The one main thing I liked about this semester/class is Mrs Buchanan. No i'm not just saying that I loved how gentle, understanding, kind, and patient she is. Having a good professor is number one key to a great semester and I got lucky. There isn't anything I would change about this class. the only thing I hated and would've done differently is take this class during the fall/winter semester I know I would've enjoyed it more and definitely spent more time on it then I should have this semester. I feel like I would've also been less stressed if I took the longer semesters with it. Overall the assignments on achieve were very easy to do. The discussion boards were stressful to do but only because this is a shorter semester and we have to get them done besides they make up for the easy assignments we get on achieve. Thanks for a great semester Mrs Buchanan. :)
