I chose this picture because it portrays my understanding of plants in society and the environment. The natural system of the environment should illustrate and envision the plants and vegetation residing alongside animals and humans. Animals and humans help maintain the production, livelihood, overgrowth, and sustainability of the plants. The sun, air, and water aid in the internal growth of the plants. Humans, animals, and other environmental factors consume the produce for energy, and henceforth creates an on going cycle pattern.

I chose this video because it is understandable with no silly songs. Now, it also is the most visually clear, as in no crazy lights or shadows. The last reason is it is most visually stimulating and visually shows the steps of photosynthesis. If you can not watch the video via the picture than you will be able to watch it via the link below. :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PABzqBjRHIg

Ferns are native plants to Georgia. They fall under the reproductive division of Pteridophyta. Ferns are vascular, have spores and are pollinated by beetles. This is a picture of a Netted Chain Fern, Woodwardia areolate. It predominately grows in shady swampy, coastal, and stream fed areas and is one of the most widespread ferns in Georgia. The website for this information is: http://extension.uga.edu/publications/detail.html?number=B987-2#title4 . It is part of UGA Cooperative Extension, which says has provided researched-based information to the general public for over 100 years.

The Grassland biomes (prairies, savanna, steppes) are semi-arid, nutrient rich areas with very few trees and are inhabited by native grazing mammals, birds, insects and reptiles. They are fragile because what used to be 25% of world land mass is now about 7 or 8%. Because the land is rich in nutrients, farmers invade the area to plant their own income producing crops. Poor growth practices and crop rotation cause the nutrients to be stripped so that nothing can grow for several years. Herbicide tolerant plants encroach upon the native grasslands, as well as humans introducing exotic plants into the warmer, fertile climate changing the diversity of the plants. The native animals have also been exploited through hunting and the introduction of non-native species. This changes the grazing habits and population of the grassland.
The image link: http://www.bbcnordic.com/planet-earth-ii/modal/grasslands/

The domestication of plants allowed people to no longer roam for food. People created communities. They also developed methods and tools for farming which created a greater food supply. That allowed for more stable and populous communities. The diagram does not state that people no longer died of hunger, but had more time and energy to socialize within the community, causing the spread of infectious diseases.

New inventions of the 3rd Agricultural Revolution.
The one invention that is most prevalent to the changing of agriculture was the seed drill. It allows for more seeds to be sown over a larger parcel of land in less amount time. Additionally it helps prevent soil erosion and moisture loss. That helped create an increased germination rate and crop yield up to eight times larger. It was initially made as a horse drawn machine in the 1700's, but has continued to be developed for modern agriculture use.
Here are two picture links to newer versions:
https://www.ics-agri.com/photos/rapid-seed-drill-sudan-by-ics-consulting-services-invest-in-profitable-agriculture-800p.jpg

http://www.crustbuster.com/images/3-point-grain-drills/5500-Series-3-Point-Grain-Drills.jpg

Caffeine
One of the most influential natural chemicals that is derived from plants is caffeine. . It is a mild stimulant that helps wake us up, keep us alert, boost concentration, improve memory if used in moderation. Because of that, about 90% of Americans consume it daily in one form or another. Too much can cause jittery feelings, heart palpitations, and upset stomachs. People can also experience withdrawal, ie headaches, fatigue, depression and mental fogginess. It is found naturally in plants: tea, kola and cacao trees , guarana seeds found in South America.
https://www.livescience.com/56603-interesting-facts-about-caffeine.html
Image link: http://www.pbs.org/food/files/2013/04/vintage-coffee-grinder.jpg

I believe the future will look this way and worse because all the natural resources will have been depleted. There will be no room for agriculture or anything else. Urban and rural environments will be overrun and polluted beyond imagination.
