وأجمعُ فيك حروفَ القصيدِ
               وأنثرُ أفراحيَ الكامنةْ

وبين حروفِك أفشيتُ سرّي
              وحركت أحلاميَ الآسنةْ

أيا لغتي يا ضياء الطريقِ
             ومصباح أيامِنا الداكنةْ

حروفُك عزفٌ تفيقُ لهُ
            وتنتعشُ الأنفسُ الواهنةْ 

عشقتكِ في غمرةِ الأربعينَ
              ومن قبلِ أن أبلغَ الثامنةْ
